no bad speeches...... John sutton was bit shakey but was ok by the end. Sammy was genuinely humbled by winning clive.
from what you could here James Graham was gracious as the stand-in losing captain. but soufs fans were giving it to him

im not a big rusty fan or soufs but, Russell & Sammy embrace was genuinely touching, both in tears.

Busted jaw grand final winner meets busted cheekbone grand final winner.

I feel for guys like Johnny Satler, George Piggins, Bob McCarthy etc the ones that helped save the club but didnt back Russell Crowe and Peter Holmes a Court but have come hack into the fold. The emotions they must have gone through the last 17 years or so.

A great day for chairman Nick Pappas who led charge to stay in the NRL with George Piggins but decided to back Crowe and Holmes a Court. Great day for Andrew Denton who used his profile to rally Souths and non souths fans to those marches against the NRL kicking them out of the comp.
