oh you poor boy, cant handle another opinion other than you own. i hate the fact a couple of horses died. i love animals, but i also understand it happens, just like humans who meet their unfortunate end playing sport. enjoy a nice steak? love a hamburger? being a total hypocrite? a touch too sensitive?

I love a good hamburger. I don't particularly want the cow to be tortured its entire life before getting to the slaughterhouse though.

I don't know man, horses are impressive athletes which is from what I gather why we race them. Why would they want to race a physically inferior animal to themselves? I imagine we would simply all be worker slaves for our hooved overlords.

I have a cousin who is vegan. I'm sure that he doesn't realize that, if everyone stopped eating beef, pork, chicken and the like, there would be less cows, pigs and hens in the world, not more . They exist to be eaten.

Actually, that's the point. Secular opposition to the consumption of animal product comes from environmental cost and, in many cases, cruelty to animals, associated with the domestication of livestock. The very goal of a vegan diet is that being dependent upon domesticated plants as opposed to animals will require less resources, and obviously won't involve cruelty to any being of moral significance (since plants can't suffer). I don't really wish to outline the environmental benefits of a vegan diet, or cases of animal abuse in farms, but I just wanted to respond to this point.
That being said, any vegan claiming that the eating of meat, or animal products, is 'unnatural', and hence morally wrong is crazy. Firstly, as you pointed out, evolutionary evidence clearly contradicts that claim. Secondly, whether something is natural or not is not a morally relevant consideration, this fallacy is known as the 'appeal to nature' and makes the classic error of trying to derive an 'ought' from an 'is'.
Furthermore, the above argument only establishes veganism as a general principle for a more ethical diet - and does allow for exceptions. I for instance think it perfectly justifiable to eat meat the night before a blood donation if this is the only way to meet the level of iron that they require to accept a donation.

Every game of cricket in all three forms seems to carry half as much weight as a soccer friendly against Canada - apart from the Ashes and the ODI World Cup (itself painfully long and devalued) it's as if 95% of cricket is forgettable, meaningless and played purely for the individual's statistical legacy.
