I'm getting a complete 'real deal' beer making kit for xmas from the wife from brewmaster. Never done it before but am chomping at the bit to have a go. Any tips appreciated! (or not given you say your beer is shit!)

My tip is to follow advice from the bloke(s) at Brewmaster. They have good knowledge and know what they're doing.

Coopers Pale Ale is one of the finest beers in the world!

Dont get me wrong, I love the taste of pale, but its not a chugger. 1 pint and im bloated and cant drink anymore.

I also think the taste of West End is nowhere near as bad as what people make out. Plenty of worse beers on the market.
