I have had many an argument with Leagu-ies over the years about why RL is so goddamn boring. Same thing over and over. I wondered why there isn't a coach that tries to play the game in a radically different style. Get it to the backs early in the set and catch the opposition defence off guard. The first three are always the same, just trying to gain 30-40 metres. The defence uses this time to catch their breath. That is when you should attack. By the end of the game they would all be knackered and it would open up. You could take advantage of that for the whole season until the other teams could improve their fitness. But then again, you would still have that thing they call a scrum, which as you rightly pointed out is part of the abomination.Rugby Union is watchable.
League is an abomination with no redeeming characteristics whatsoever.

I survived a headlock from Danny Frawley while David Gallop, Peter Hudson and Drake looked on, so
I can work out two of the onlookers but Drake???
btw you should have squealed for help to those three voyeurs. Although that may make Frawley frisky....
