Literally just booked my tickets this morning!

Going solo this time.

Doing Prague > Berlin > Hamburg > Amsterdam > Brussels > Somewhere France > San Sebastion > Madrid > Barcelona

If you plan on going to a few different cities I'd buy the eurail particularly if you're under 26

Main thing is don't restrict yourself.. things change once your there. For example I'm flying into Prague and flying out of Barcelona that's all that I've got planned, will book a hostel in Prague but just go from there.

Last time did more of the Greek Islands which are amazing. Portugal was our hidden gem, Lisbon was my favourite city.

Paris - is good particularly in summer but we felt completely satisfied after 3 days
Santorini - Favourite Greek Island, just so relaxed. Rented quad bikes and went down to parissa beach most days. Night life is alright
IOS - Time of my life lol, basically wake up at 3pm and party till 8am lifestyle but 4 days wrecked me
Mykonos - meh
Lisbon - Standout of the trip, not one person recommended to go there but we did, it was simply amazing. Extremely hot like really hot but just beautiful.
Lagos - got there late and it was a ghost town, beaches were good though.
Barcelona - Second BOG amazing city to explore.

How old are you? I'm 20

My favorite was Croatia, that was a few years ago now so it might have turned a bit shit like the Greek Islands now though. Berlin is a must. My favorite place in Italy was Verona, Google it.

Valuable advice which I'll be sure to follow, but I more meant in terms of which cities to go haha.

Paris, Bruges, Brussels, Amsterdam, London. You'll be humbled by the history. If you want to go higher, Norway is pretty cool.

Just think travelling at a young age is such an extraordinary growing experience. Most kids these days don't know how to interact with someone unless it's via text or facebook

The writers smartly decided to move away from a case of the week comedy show with it and the interviews are saying they want it to be an ongoing story that takes place before/during/after Breaking bad.

Which would work well as long as they dont bring back Cranston or Paul unless its a small cameo I'd like the show to be its own.

Yea I think it would be pretty forced to have Paul and/or Cranston in it. Like they terrible season 8 (or was it 9) of Scrubs where they tried to revamp the series with an entirely new cast, but then forced JD and Turk into it. Man I wish that show didn't go on past S04. Which comes back to another brilliant aspect of Breaking Bad, it ended when it should have, not when the network's money team said it should.

Yep, kids should travel as soon as possible. I am giving kids a suitcase and a one way ticket anywhere they want to go for their 18th birthdays.

Weather is a factor, what season are you there for? Have been to Europe a couple of times, lived in Scotland in the late 80s.
A few goodies:

• The Lake District in the north of England for some of the most beautiful country walks possible. We walked there in spring and I'd have been barely surprised if Peter Rabbit had strolled by.
  
• Edinburgh and nearby (by Australian standards) Stirling if you like stonking big castles and a bit of Sotland's deeply bitter-sweet military history. Don't go to Inverness (Loch Ness territory). Time-wasting tourist nonsense.
  
• Munich, and generally the Bavarian Alps. Or Salzburg in the Austrian Alps (Sound of Music territory). Or Lake Como in the Italian Alps. Notice I didn't mention the Swiss Alps? They're magnificent too but there's no one particular place I'd go out of my way to see in 5 weeks,
  
• Rome, Paris both have astonishing history and beauty embedded in ridiculously busy cities.
• Venice, Florence.
  
• Santorini, a crazy Greek island built on part of the rim of a sunken volcano (Google pictures).
• Ephesus in Turkey, a magnificent town that was largely buried in a valley (how?) and has emerged after excavations began in the 19th century. Like Pompeii in some ways.
• Pompeii and the nearby Isle of Capri.
• Barcelona, a must see.

Surprisingly little love for London. Whilst expensive, it is still one of the world's great cities and definately worth a visit.

From a historic point of view I loved St Petersburg. Some very beautiful women there too.

Amsterdam is good value, plenty to see and do (even if you are old like me...). Definitely a party place for younger people.
Stockholm is a beautiful city but bloody expensive!!

Pretty well as cold as possible then. All the places with historical interest are still up before the selection committee but forget Alpine areas, the north of Britain etc. Once you've seen a few major sites/cities I'd be looking more at Spain, Greek islands etc. I'm not even sure how hospitable much of Italy would be, I know from being there about a month into spring it gets pretty cold even there.
