This is the consequence of Presidential-style politics. Prime Ministers who believe they're above their own cabinet (Rudd, Abbott) let alone the average pleb who 'voted them in'.

It's astonishing how many ordinary Australians have no idea how the system works. Theoretically, Christopher Pyne could be our PM tomorrow. Consider them apples.
