It's full of them. What's your point? Gawler is the gateway whether you agree or not. It's also a far nicer town than Lyndoch and Nuriootpa.lol at the idea of interstate/foreign tourists lobbing up in Gawler and being told it's the Barossa![]()

I guess having lived in all three and being from overseas and bringing people here from overseas regularly means I'm not qualified to answer that.Oh, please. The Gawler bypass and the Thiele Highway are the gateways, at best.
You are entitled to that opinion up the valley. Those from the south are usually clueless. You're kidding I assume.
For those of us that live in the valley Gawler is Elizabeth North..... Although I agree on lyndoch.
Next best bit, it's on my birthday!whaaaaaaaaaaaat. That will be nuts!
Gawler home of the Barossa's finest quality goon.

Jeez
Ha ha
Watching locals with goon bags and cones on the middle of South Gawler oval interrupting our game of cricket is a fond memory of mine.

At least it isn't a dog track...
PS. I've put a couple on the railway line there![]()

It's a postage stamp so the train tracks always in danger. Used to be interesting playing footy out of the goal square with the locals fully charged up on red tins
Yes the dog track is much more of a hole.
Can't remember his name, but there was a big left armer that used to play out there. Used to push them through, but I was only a young fella.
And the Bevis boys from memory too...
Remember the Bevis name, but can't remember any left armers.
Flashback... Robins.
South were to suffer from such draconian measures in 1995, when the club was fined $1000 and our A Grade was stripped of twelve premiership points after the league found senior player John Robins to be in breach of the import rule. The league judged that South were “playing an A Grade player whilst his residential address was outside a defined ‘local player’ boundary”, deregistering Robins for the remainder of the 1995 season.
John ?
Wasn't he a big full forward. May have been the guy that lived in the caravan park for 'import rule' reasons
Yep don't reckon I played cricket against him, that may have been before they switched compsBang ! Yep, thats him. Captained the cricket side.
