To make a late post on the moved on from video game soundtracks, Need for Speed games have ridiculously soundtracks that are thoroughly inappropriate for the games, and should be reserved for epic stories and action packed adventures.

So I just learned that Brett Ebert is our third highest goalkicker in our AFL history. If he kicks 12 more goals before the end of his Port Adelaide career, he'll be second. That's depressing.

Point Break remake? Why?

Why almost any remake / reboot? Unless it's Special effects heavy and 20 years have passed there's no point unless the first was a woeful adaptation of a book.

Even then I wish they'd not redone/rebooted Total Recall / Predator.

I'll raise Point Break though with they want to remake Big Trouble in Little China with the Rock as Jack Burton. Firstly **** off, secondly just **** off and third do they not realise Kurt Russell / Burton was the comic side kick and Wang was the action hero of that movie?

The remake of Big Trouble is obscene. And as much as I like Dwayne Therock yes yes yes it's absurd to cast him in the Jack Burton role. One of the comedic premises of the film was Jack - despite his immense self-belief - was a hopeless action hero and spent most of the film tied up beaten up or unconscious.

But he had great lines

Watched Event Horizon with my gf on the weekend as she'd somehow never seen it before.

Was pretty surprised it was made in 1997, it's aged pretty well.

Unfortunately, the pay off for obsessively trawling through threads here has diminished significantly.

Account banning is such a strange way to leave a forum, unless you've become addicted to the point where it's interfering with you life.

It's the most effective way of cutting it out of your routine. Some people can't do "just the tip".

It's effective, yes, but you'll feel more in control of yourself if you just force yourself to check BigFooty less and less.

It's like gastric banding. It's a solution to a problem, but your doctors will want you to try everything else before you go for a surgery option, and you'll feel better about yourself if you're in control.

If it was as easy as saying, "I'm going to control this", to stop, it wouldn't be a problem.
Addiction/compulsion doesn't work like that.

No doubt that if you've lost control, banning your account might be a good thing for you.
