Hhahaha, the cartoon versions. They are all comic book versions and variations dammit. It's a staple of the genre, some characters have been going for over 50 years, they always reboot.
Batman is a prime example - there have been many in film, tv and comic.
Superman - same
Spiderman - same
X MEN - same

etc. etc.

Theres a reason why cataclysms and parallel universes are so prominent.
