The man.
Grrrrrrrrrrr
I love defence and that's why I love Da Bears Urlacher is my favourite player of all time ( well second after Junior Seau) , this man is the anti Bear.

Chicago Bears - a club that is always great but rarely good.

And one of the best backs of all time in Walter Payton.
Yes he was a true great, his records stand the test of time, but because I never saw him play, it was the images from the 1985-1995 that stick in my head.

As for your decision Jumbo, anyone looking to pick a team I always suggest they look at the conference and division their team plays in.
San Diego plays in one of the most boring (imo), Denver Broncos and Kc Chiefs ffs.
Now the NFC North...that is full of history.
Bears
Packers
Lions
Vikings

Yes, Chiwigi is DA BEARS. Another win for the da bears!!
You'll see my profile says Chicago. I chose it years ago as its to the Welsh what New York is to the Irish. Was an Ok decision for a 9 year old Chiwigi in the 80's.
Bears not such a good choice
Cubs lol
Blackhawks eventually
Bulls not a big basketball fan but was good to have Jordan :).
Notre Dame (close enough :)).
Sox
I love gridiron, played it since I was very young. This is a pic of me and my team way back when I was 15 :). So sad to think what has happened to a lot of the lads.

When I think of the Bears, I have 2 images - hard arse coach Mike Ditka and William The Refrigerator Perry.

Help wanted
On the back on Jarrod Hayne getting picked up I have decided to have another go at trying to get into NFL after many failed previous attempts. What I now need to do with your suggestions is pick a club to throw my support to, please help me pick a side for me to love and adore but the only pre-requisite is it can't be the 49'ers as that would be so predictable.
Gotta be the Jags. They've got ridiculous spray painted helmets, their quarterback -- Blake Bortles -- sounds like a Dr Seuss character, and no one else supports them so you get your own personal favourite team.

Well he's the king of fashion in his neighborhood,
With his ripped blue jeans and a flannel shirt.
He's got a well kept mullet and a packet of smokes,
And his mates will all tell ya he's a real top bloke.

You can't pick the Steelerrs, Packers or Patriots.
That's like going for a Big 4 team.

Now the Bears, there's a team with history, a working class pedigree and just shit enough that you won't be seen as a bamdwagoner.
Depends on your timeline. I was a Patriots fan when the Bears shoe was on the other foot to the tune of 46-10 in Superbowl XX.

going through the "most liked posters" wall

dominated by port posters, never knew we all love a like so much more compared to everyone else

Nah, we're just better.

So Bryan Adams is going to be playing at the grand final. This should get the crowd pumping:

To be fair, Summer of '69 is perhaps the last word in bogan anthems.

Redskins fan when I followed the NFL closely back in the day, watching Don Lane hosted coverage every Monday night on the ABC.

Followed the Skins after Raiders players trash-talked Joe Theismann's momma in the pre-game coverage of the '84 Super Bowl.

Lean pickings for a while now...

I saw Straight Outta Compton a couple of days ago.
It's a good film, but you can tell which members have had the most say in it's production (Dre and Cube).

Dre comes out looking almost saintly.
Bar for one line of dialogue, it pretty much skips right over Dre's history of violence against women.
They make it like Dre was reluctant in making diss songs about Ice Cube.

It skips over the most of Eazy and Dre's feud.

You'd think MC Ren was just a bit player in the group, not enough mentioned about his contributions to NWA.

No mention of the women of Ruthless, like Michel'le, and JJ Fad.

There's a lot skipped over, but I guess there's only so much you can get to in two and a half hours.
It's just a bit too convenient how that benefits Dre, and to a lesser extent, Cube.

Like I said it's a good film, I enjoyed it, and I recommend it.
Just remember it's a movie, not a documentary.

Picking a team is easy, there is only one with Teal in it, and if the Jaguars arent for you, then the Raiders has to be next in line.

Somehow think the 49ers has a few new Oz fans. God I hope the Fanatics don't show up on US tv.

Definitely, if you picked up the Pats then you deserve all the wins you can enjoy :).
