Well I think I've finally broke the Bigfoot alert system.

I posted a picture a little while ago in the port mega store thread where I had over 9000 alerts, it was up to about 13000 and now it's ticked over to 344 and it is going down by 1 or 2 a day.

I went to renmark and got stuck in primordial ooze after we were having fun in some creekbed mud. Winching failed, I began pulling my mates lux towards me. We didn't have maxxtracks on us either. Couldn't exit the car from the drivers side as the mud was up past the sidesteps. Snatch strap from the towbar couldn't free me (I moved less than 30cm after several attempts). So tried the front with an equalizer strap. Had to yank it as it wasn't going to move any other way. I had diff locks engaged and low range. Well and truly stuck. **** it was great fun.

Early today I saw this ad that is being used as the official ad for the Rugby World Cup in England. Its a cracker especially the 2nd half.

And with Japan beating the Springboks after the final hooter went, 34-32 you know more upsets are coming. Japan has been to every Rugby World Cup since the first in 1987 as the sole qualifier from Asia and will host the cup in 2019. Before last night they have played 24 times for 1 win against Zimbabwe in 1991 and 2 draws v Canada in 2007 and 2001 in their 24 games ie 21 losses. They have had 3 absolute shellackings 145-17 v the All Blacks in 1995, 91-3 v Wallabies in 2007 and 83-7 v All Blacks in 2011. The other 18 losses have been pretty honourable margins considering the opposition and the relevant margin.

Their current coach is ex Wallabies coach Eddie Jones who took the Wallabies to the 2003 Would Cup GF. His mum is Japanese and father an Aussie. A week or two ago I saw an ABC News interview with the average Japanese in the street if they were excited about the World Cup and the fact Japan were hosting the next one. There was a lot more ignorance about the game than lack of excitement. I think things have change overnigh!!!. Prime Minister Abe probably is claiming it as a positive to go with their new defence posture of new legislation passing to allow the government to send troops overseas to fight wars for the first time since 1945.
