Long list of "Days off" for people criticising the golden boy. Thin-skinned bunch of flogs.

If I go to the Adelaide board at all I make sure I get out in two minutes at the most. I'm worried that if I stay I'll make some comment that contradicts the crap they believe and one of their touchy mods will give me an infraction. I once got an infraction because I joined a conversation in their "Adelaide supporters only" thread. I didn't disagree with them but I got the infraction anyway. Bunch of cretins.

So ah, Turnbull's glorious NBN has an 'ambitious' new target of rolling out to umpteen million homes by 2018 when the tech used will already be painfully obsolete.

Just checked the map.

There is a chunk of homes literally 2 streets over who have fully operational NBN from when the ALP were in power (and I assume FTTP), but there are no plans to roll out (shitty FTTN) where I am for the foreseeable future.

Straya.

I'm in a similar position, constant drop outs, but those closer get the new stuff.

So you broke a rule of their board which was explicitly stated in the title of the thread that you were posting in, and then you were surprised when you got an infraction?

They are actually rolling out new copper in some areas because what they bought from Telstra was in such poor condition.

Straya!

My mistake. The title wasn't "Adelaide supporters only", it was "non-AFL crows discussion". When I was infracted the reason given was that the discussion thread was for Adelaide supporters only. Even if it had said that I would have thought they would have given me a warning. After all we put up with their bunch.

If it was up to Turnbull alone I'm sure he'd do FTTP. He can't discard too many of Tony's policies too quickly though. I'm sure we'll get FTTP slated to go everywhere at some point if Malcolm wins the next election. Politically he needs time and space to not look like he's caving in to the ALP.

Politics in general

Jeez, i just some campaigner bail me up saying 6 weeks ago i hit his car, funny because he says that it ripped a part of his bumper off and lots of scratches and yet no damage (other than the shitty paint work) to my front bumper.

I'm currently on a 15GB a month plan which costs me 105, but i'll probably have to up it.

It's 2015, I shouldn't be having this problem! I'm only semi-rural as well

Wow and here was me thinking I was hard up. Shop around mate if you can. From memory, Optus have plan for 15Gb for around $45 a month.

Can we change the thread title yet? It's crap.

May I suggest;
"The It's Less Interesting than MAtthew Lobbe Thread"

Work on the NBN
here is the fun kicker facts

in FTTN we'll be replacing more Telstra copper than we will be hauling in fibre (technically still improves the system but still)

To hit said targets, they're fast streaming every Satellite introduction date for rural areas, easiest most cost effective way of getting "connected home" numbers fast
The Telstra Network is just a bunch of woolworths and coles bags underneath the ground
NBN will go massively over budget just fixing Telstra's infrastructure for them

There is quite a few areas like yours where across the road you'll have FTTP and you're stuck with FTTN Gawler, St Marys, Modbury just to name a few

If only Telstra was still privately owned, FTTP would've been and gone by now.

Just out of curiosity, whats your closest exchange
