That P76 guy is awful busy delivering bales of hay, he ain't got time for that.
He was parked near the sailing club at West Beach the other day. First time I've seen one for 10 years and them this post comes up, weird.

If I ever start a business, which I'm considering. I'll employ I Dont Care so long as his IT knowledge and customer service game is strong. I'll finance the tools, you do the job.

Apparently there is a decent chance I could be moving to Australia soon.

Don't be too shocked if you see a Brazilian flag at the Adelaide Oval in a couple of years then ;)

Decent chance just became certain. Diegodog, I'm pregnant. It's yours.

We shall call him Chad. Chad will gain you access to Australia and benefits.

Which will be spent on sports power port power sports merch from the port power sports power power merch section.

Sounds like a plan. Especially if our child has a smile like this:

Apparently, P76's were a South Australian thing according to Eastern Staters

There were many strange things in South Australia in the 1970s. Some of them are still around, looking the worse for wear.

EDIT: in my early days in the IT industry back in the late 80s I worked with an odd Argentinian expat who claimed to have worked on quality control on the P76. Never did figure out if he was joking or not.

does anyone have recommendations about good books on the history/politics of Australia? I'm a nerd type of guy and I love some history reading - for example, I'm currently reading books about the American Civil War and the history of Britain.

The Fatal Shore by Robert Hughes is very good for early history/settlement.

Frank Hardy's "Power without glory" was huge in its day, a fictionalised version of power structures in 1930s Melbourne. Very good book, fantastic back-story about physical and legal dangers with getting it published. A footy connection too, the 'hero' was based on John Wren whose dodgy money helped support Collingwood. Wren died in 1953 a month after suffering a heart attack while witnessing team Collingwood win the VFL grand final.
BTW have you read 'Team of Rivals: The Political Genius of Abraham Lincoln'? Top book, though the first third or so setting up the framework of Lincoln's initial election is drier than the Simpson desert.

All depends on goals. The only debt I have is my mortgage, we're about to sell and upgrade houses and our debt will remain about the same thanks to equity. Got everything we need in terms of cars, furnishings and whatnot. We don't want for much. I did heaps of travel with my parents so I have zero travel desires and my misses is happy with a registry wedding. Boring but who gives a ****, we're just that comfortable financially. The only place my cash is going at the moment is the mortgage, investments and daily living.

The investments are key. I could actually cut my hours from 40 to 20 as of tomorrow and still have plenty of financial freedom. 20 hours is a sweet spot. Enough to keep you occupied and enough cash to cover living provided you are setup with what you need for the long term.

Aside from all this, there are things I want to achieve career wise before I do that, just things to tick off and say you've done them so you don't have regrets about having not done things.

Don't spend $90K on your wedding/honeymoon.

Unless you get 4 x 90L pots going in your carport.

Workmates of the missus spent $80k on their wedding, and doubled-down by going balls deep in a $600k mortgage with a baby on the way.

Lasted a tick under 4 years with financial stresses cited as the chief culprit for the demise of the marriage.

OMG WHAT A WEDDING THO
