I have an i7 from like 2010, is that much worse than today's i5s?

From a purely gaming perspective the difference between an i5 and an i7 isn't massive.
In that regard, the difference between a 2010 i7 and 2015 i5 model would be decent, in favour of the i5.

i7s of course are faster and have hyperthreading. So if you run a bunch of programs like PS, Vegas, etc. at the same time, your old i7 might still the way to go for a little longer.

If this is about Fallout 4, my 2011 i7 handles it pretty well, I get frame drops to 45 (from 60) in busy cities for a few seconds, but it's fairly solid otherwise.

Your i7 should be fine, but was it you who said earlier in the year that you only have 4gb ram?

If that's still true you need to (as you might put it) fix your RAM game, fam.

What's the rating on F4, as in my 14yo wants it and I'm sort of leaning towards letting him so long as sex and language aren't too bad (putting it in perspective, I just want to see something other than CoDBOps2 on for a changes & won't let him get Bops3 as it's R rated and also just because)?

Assuming he's a generally well rounded like kids
