I was outside memorial drive for their back in black concert years back.
The stories/fables in the paper the following day about riots were miles away from the truth.
Few issues? Yes. Riots? Not even close.

AC/DC were in Vancouver in September. A manager at work went, and he had a great time. He missed a couple of days off work as a result though- he's not as young as he used to be, no matter how hard he pretends.

Personally I'd rather watch NRL then geriatric rockers. Ween may be getting on a bit but Angus Young looks ready for the knackers yard.

I rank the bands at that concert in reverse order of importance. Kingswood were the no-name support act and they're quality, The Hives were the mid-range support act and they're decent, AC/DC were the main attraction and they're about 20 years past it.

They played a gig at my uni bar earlier this year

I've seen Both Kingswood live and ac/dc in the past 5 years. I own kingswoods album but dont own any ac/dc music .

To say Kingswood have anything on ac/dc is laughable and shows your music knowledge to be poor to say the least.

Angus Young is still easily the best performing rock guitar player in the world. Easily. The energy and effort and execution of skill is something to behold. Any claim that he is over it or phoning it in is complete shit and couldn't be further from the truth. I didn't see Kingswood, and the Hives the singer had a raw energy and hunger, but the rest of the band stood flat footed. Angus and Brain never stopped.

However, when he stopped to play a guitar solo with a neck tie, it was very spinal tap.

I think I speak for all of us when I say if any of us are as energetic and as skilled at our hobbies as he is at his age when we get there, I know I'll be pretty chuffed.

he still goes alright old angus, first time seeing acdc and was just as expected. highlight was dirty deeds (and no isis), bloody hell that sounded good. i found when they played one of their new songs and i didnt know it it was a touch boring as it is all the same, but the classics were awesome. bloody loud too. liked the hives, singer went on a bit but i like quite a few of their songs, kingswood were meh.

Man, that guitar solo was out of this world. Best part of the concert IMO.
