Swans are the loudest band I've ever seen/heard. Their whole reason for existence seems to be to pummel you into non-existence.

Just googled loudest band in the world - it brought up a bigfooty thread from 2009 on the subject where Macca says he saw Atari Teenage Riot at the BDO 2000. I saw that too. **** they were awful.

i have a soft spot for nickelback

i remember driving home from shotz after having a particularly big night and sleeping in my car in a multi storey car park until the afternoon the next day and "how you remind me" came on the radio and i just ****ing loved it

plus the singer looks like the paddlepop lion and ****ing got married to avril lavigne. scott stapp can't do anything that crazy because he's a kooky christian

I might have been too capsy, Self Bias Resistor is one of my favourite songs ever, and up until Obsolete there wasn't much I didn't like (aside from Dog Day Sunrise WTF was that all about) but after that I couldn't tell you what went wrong. Maybe they were trying to be more commercial, maybe they just had a bit of success and grew soft, maybe they only made good albums when they knew they were going to put out a remix album of the tracks too?

Well, my personal favorite was Deep Purple (Mk II), but of course these things are entirely subjective. I was too young for The Beatles, Rolling Stones or The Who and anyone outside of my 'big three' were either pale imitations, American, or ****y.

i'm tempted to go to the next soundwave. i have good memories of the 2013 one.

i went to one around 2007-2008 ish with horse the band when it was fairly new as well. i remember they had the dudesons out here as well when they were basically unknown. left slightly disappointed with horse the band because rborlax was pretty much my favourite thing in the world back then. they were good, and i did appreciate the jager efforts of the lead singer, but it just didn't quite come off. maybe too early in the afternopon

I like the logic and thought that went in to this answer to my joke question about two bands I don't care either way about.
Therefore although it wasn't a competition you are the winner.

Why are soccer fans expecting the governing body to allow bad behavior? What the **** is going on with these soccer loonies. What is it about soccer and attracting brainless thugs?

The red and black bloc is a writhing and wriggling manifestation of anger, cultural friction and thuggery.

I heard some single celled protozoa call triple M threatening rebecca wilson with violence for writing an article saying soccer fans are violent. Hmm...

He continued on by banging on about how that Yarran bloke hit a woman at an AFL match and that "you dont see that at soccer!" before moving on to say "this is a plot by the AFL who are theatened by the increasing popularity of soccer" - yeah alright mate. I'm sure they care about a game that is mostly played at opposite times of the year and is currently suffering a massive image problem.
