Just saw the new Star Wars. Astonishingly good, astonishingly retro. As I stepped out into the light afterwards I had to check I wasn't wearing flares, that my Dad's HQ wasn't waiting in the carpark.

I saw it tonight in VMax at Marion. The seats are very comfy, and as Janus said Gold Class has sweet seats too.
You should go see it, excellent film.

It's a weird tradition in america, because either there is someone involved with the movie there or it's a premier. It should not be used outside of those two scenarios.

I could have easily applauded. I reckon anyone who saw the first film when it came out in the 70s and felt the return of that sense of wonder would have felt the same.

Sadly I can take no credit. Based on your comment I did some research (OK Googled a few things) and came up with 'J.J. Abrams Admits Star Trek Lens Flares Are "Ridiculous"'. I'm nowhere near that well informed. And my preferred humour is not subtle, as a guide I find the Three Stooges too restrained.

Well now that I have had 24 hours to digest The Force Awakens.

Bravo JJ Abrams you captured elements of the original trilogy that were sadly missing from the 2nd trilogy. As some have yet to see it I will not comment above favorite scenes and stuff. If you are a Star Wars fanboy/girl you should not be disappointed.

Damn, I only have to wait two years for the next one.

Great time to be alive if you are into sci-fi or comic books with what is scheduled to come out for the next few years.
