Because Im not that much into Star Wars to go pay $40+ for the tickets for my girlfriend and me not including the other $20-30 for food and drink.
I only go to the cinema to see movies I really want to see.

I commend you for not greasing the wheels of Jar Jar M1A1 Abrams and his corporate Disney machine.

But really, cam recordings are so genuinely awful you may as well just not see the movie and wait till the digital/dvd release. I know I just look up a synopsis of a movie I don't want to pay to see just so I can converse about it if people want to discuss it. I call it the efficient way of watching a movie. Just read the full plot on Wiki and you're done in 5 minutes.

Just go and enjoy it for what it is - a very well produced, fun sci-fi flick.

Or don't, I guess, if you wanna be a jaded cynic about the most popular movie franchise of all time.

Not seeing the big issue here, if and when it releases to a digital store in 6 months I may rent/buy it but I dont particularly enjoy the cinemas.
It's not a slate against the almighty Star Wars its just personal preference.

As for why Im watching it, I work with a bunch of 50 year olds and over and all they have been talking about this week is this movie.
I may as well give it a try.

I like how the benefits are: Big screen, loud noises.

The actual quality of the film is ****ing worse than what you will get on a blu-ray. Thanks, projectors.
