"I'm a mod and I'm gonna ban you."
"K. Prove it."
"I DONT HAVE TO PROVE ANYTHING TO YOU"

I thought it was this bloke

This should be the crows mascot.

Maybe it was the area I grew up in but there must be at least 100 leaders of different bikie gangs that all had nephews and nieces that went to my schools.
Yep all the local bikers and drug dealers here go to the local private school, unfortunately there clientele go to the public school.

People holding different degrees have made light hearted fun of each other's since degrees started. It's getting harder and harder for anyone to use humour here :( it's the degree equivalent of bantering with fans of other football teams.
Meh. As someone who works in engineering, I reckon I'd rather spend my time with Arts graduates than engineering graduates.

Most* qualified engineers I know are either sociopaths or alcoholics, usually a combination of both.

*not the ones I currently work with should ever they see this post.

I did mechanical engineering.

I'm a fantastic bloke 10/10

Which is where I've said he's a dickhead.

You also sided with him re-changeroom and privacy, and of course he is entitled to privacy, but which he probably would have got with a bit of politeness. The bloke is a bully using the uneasiness he instills into women as a power trip

I have a B. Engineering, not a Bachelor in fast food, I mean Arts, so it doesn't really help or hinder anything discussed here.
Explains why you don't know much about women then ;).

That was both sexist and a dig at sexism. I award myself 5 internets.

So Kim Jong Un reckons he has exploded a Hydrogen bomb. It might placate the masses that he is a tough guy but looks like nobody outside North Korea believes him.

Not even close to what the USA and USSR had/ and what they still have.

And still nothing beats the USA's Minuteman Missile III. Sitting in silos in the wheat fields of Iowa, Montana, Wyoming, North Dakota etc and travelling at 29,000 kilometres an hour, they can hit Moscow in 20 minutes so, I'd say Pyongyang would get hit earlier, with the missile going the other way than the one headed to Moscow. Both nicely within the 10,000 kilometre range.

For what it is worth I was clipped for typing "lol" on the Fruchoc West End Toyota Tingles Society Board

The gamechanger with the American stockpile was the MIRV. One missile, up to a dozen or so warheads. The ultimate in effiency dividend.

They've since been ruled offside and removed from the arsenal. So if and when nuclear war ever comes it'll be more Missile Command on Atari than Atomic Command on Fallout4.

They don't need a heap. As long as they can drop nukes on South Korea and Japan they are safe from external forces. It's the Nukes, Chemical, Biological weapons and all the artillery pointed at Soeul that's the issue. Despite their Army first policy any actual war would be fairly short lived. The original Gulf War showed what you get with a large, but poorly trained and a generation earlier equipment versus state of the art. And the technology gap between the US and North Korea would be even larger. It's only China not wanting them to collapse and have a flood of millions and a united Korea (which would effectively become an enlarged South Korea as Germany is to a large degree an enlarged West Germany) on their doorstep, rather then a buffer state.

Seoul would be gone before we could say Samsung. Not quite MAD, but good enough for the Pyongyang Massive.

I legit work with a former expert analyst on North Korea's nuclear weapons capacity and he's not convinced at all that they have the capabilities yet to manufacture hydrogen bombs. The underground detonation is a way of hiding any sort of outside analysis on the explosion.

It's one thing to have some explosives. It's another thing entirely to have the capability to launch those weapons over heavily monitored and fortified borders ready to intercept anything at a moments notice.

Seoul is in artillery range of enough artillery to put half a million shells an hour on it. Most in hardened underground bunkers. And plenty with chemical or biological shells. The only way the US could disable them all without hundreds of thousands dying in Seoul with an attack is to nuke the area. Which sort of defeats the purpose, with it so close to Seoul (even if they were willing to nuke North Korea). Keeping North Korea contained, but not feeling pushed into being suicidal until they get a leader who at least lets them go the China route of Communism + Capitalism is all that can be realistically hoped for.

The estimates on conventional artillery alone would be enough to do the job. Even if you were somehow able to swat a percentage of all those shells and rockets from the sky you'd still be left with a stack of Barney when all is said and done.

The estimated yield of the test was about 5-6Kt... way smaller than even the most tiniest thermonuclear device, i think the smallest H bomb is about 150Kt.
