Yes, he's all class isn't he. I think the only slip up I've seen from him all summer was during the Boxing Day test, 2nd innings, when was batting with Steve Smith and the captain was swinging away like a rusty gate - some of the madness rubbed off on Usman and he got caught behind trying a stupid 'ramp shot' when he had been making plenty of runs batting properly.

Did watch the first hour of The Hateful Eight before being dragged out of the cinema by my better half. The language and violence against women in particular isn't for everyone. For mine it looks better than Django maybe not Pulp Fiction. Jennifer Jason Leigh outstanding.

As I wrote in the cricket discussion thread Khawaja has become a very wristy player compared to when he made his test debut in 2010-11 when he was stiff and seemed he just wanted to survive. The full sub continental wristy genes have been on full display all this summer from the state ODI's back in October. He has been a beautiful player to watch this year and his 5 test innings has produced 504 runs, 3 tons, a fifty and 9 not out.

I remember bumping into David Bumbles Lloyd walking down Rundle Street in late January of the 2010-11 Ashes season, we walked from near the Mall until East Terrace talking cricket and he was scathing of Khawaja who had played in the New Years Test in Sydney making a 30 and a 20 odd, at a strike rate of about 30 and the Poms smashed us by an Innings. He said he has to play shots if he is going to bat at 3 not just block the ball. He said if that's the way he bats normally then he wont have a long test career. Khawaja had replaced Ponting as he broke his finger at the MCG, Oz got smashed there too by an innings and it was Ponting's last test as captain.

I wouldn't even go that far though as saying it's "so bad", just take it for what it is.

A ridiculously campy action-comedy miniseries with 5 main leads, that blends satire, homage, and nostalgia together almost seamlessly. It knows what it is, but it isn't trying to be so bad it is good on purpose, because things that try to be so bad they're good only ever end up bad. For it to cross back to good again, it has to be made with the right intentions and with passion and heart.

Danger 5 is made with that passion and heart, it believes in itself. Kung Fury is a great example of the opposite. It was made "ironically", and feels like a hollow and plastic insult to it's sources.

A definite proud moment for Film SA, very talented people behind it that were given the chance to make their art, as well as seeing Tim Noonan getting blown away by high school Hitler.

Try getting one on the outer side of your shin, but not the front of the shin itself. Hurts like hell and is impossible to release as only your ankle seems to give the needed movement, but is very limited.

This is showing that SACA is using the Oval for their real stuff - Test and One-Dayers, but finding alternate revenue sources rather than trying to bleed cricket in general to prop them up. It's a public lesson for the SANFL to go out and find alternate revenue events for the Oval when AFL games aren't playing, during their period of ownership, so they aren't bleeding the AFL clubs. Koch should be working this into some not so subtle digs at the SNAFL along these lines.

I don't think this argument holds up as the SACA has been gifted the T20 golden goose from CA, they didn't find or create it.

The equivalent would be the AFL holding a second competition with modified rules alongside the regular Premiership Season.
