Started listening to 5mmm in 1979

Never heard of 3d but I haven't lived in Adelaide for 8 years so I'm guessing it must of started after I left.
In Lincoln you really only have the choice of the local pop station magic tragic fm for your heavily repeated modern popular crap music or triple j.
So it's jjj or nothing really. Not saying that a it's the be all of radio stations but if I couldn't get it and had to put up with tragic fm I'd go nut bags.

Though I must be getting old as I listen to 891 in the morning for breaky and even tune into to macca on a Sunday sometimes as well.

in the late eighties they bought their name.
Then they became 3D. They have been
at 93.7 for 36 years.

It's a little bit like how Port Adelaide had to change it's logo and colours when it entered the national competition. Funny, you never hear anyone trying to claim 5-MMM-FM and Three-D are two different entities, despite the name change AND four different addresses over the journey.
