My boy is 4 and just beginning his sporting journey...

I've registered him for Auskick at this club, but when he's older, I'll move him to the club I want him to be at..... That begins in U/8

You will be so frustrated with Auskick especially if your son can you know .. actually catch and kick a ball

So its a tough decision starting your offspring's footy career....

Need to register him with Auskick but he's received a pamphlet from school pimping a particular footy club, where I'd rather he not play. I was going to register him elsewhere.

The dilemma is is keeping him with his friends as he's just started school this week.

Get him in with another group of kids, they'll bond over footy. My boys have a few of their mates from their school at our club but it's good when they play against their other classmates from other clubs. They're excited to stand each other and engage in light banter in the lead up.

I missed it when it was free on PS+ and now I'm too much of a stinge to pay for it knowing my mates got it for free, but I've heard great things.

I haven't blinked at paying $30. It's worth every penny. I've probably already sunk more time into it than I have with games that cost 3 times as much

My son has been HANGING out to get out of 2/3 footy so he can tackle/roam the field and not get stuck in the defensive 3rd with the ball never crossing halfway/run and bounce..and yes, not get punished for being a good kick and scoring form 25 metres from the centre third. Oh, and not getting free kicks against for being brave enough to smother a kick. (although to be fair his coach told all of them he didnt care if they smothered and to keep doing it).

I get the rules for protection and to develop confidence but some kids just need to get out and play footy. The look on his face when he gets there will be priceless trust me.

This year is the year. He is already in pre-season (on the oval with me)!!! Excited.
