Yes late breaking podcastOh jeez... special sitting of the podcast needs to be had with tribey and sanfl/sma discussion.

This unbiased opinion is proudly brought to you by NieuvisionKeep. People in the system will be frozen with existing rules regardless. So to kill it will really punish those potential investor trying to grow their wealth.
As Forza said investor lending is now more difficult which has slowed the housing market.
Why don't we discuss killing taxes like pay roll tax and burocratic greed which in turn limits business growth and employment. We need an economy less reliant on government employment.
Lawyers..... jek homsh pls, why does an AFL player need 40 dollars

Honestly it wouldn't bother me too much. I have a portfolio that would be grand fathered assuming the laws aren't changed retrospectively, which I imagine would be the case.
So it will hurt those wanting to start or those potential investors that have just started and haven't built a portfolio diverse enough.
Do we also eliminate negative gearing on share investments also? Eg margin lending?
Why propose to leave it on new builds and not older properties?
I can see the rationale to decrease capital gains tax however. If they wish to increase tax revenue that is a direct wealth tax. Even though I'd prefer a more open market with less tax and less government intervention.
