Some actors are 'due' for an Oscar gong I think, the academy could have given him more votes to get better ratings.

The Oscars are like the Brownlow, many great movies and actors go years without winning one, but can be remembered far more than those who actually won it.

I've have moved on from the Mad Max tirade. My opinions have had enough vindication from people that have (negatively) geared (car words!) their lives around the Mad Max movies and had personal dealings with the makers and backers of Fury Road that I can sit here in my ivory tower with complete and unwavering confidence.

There's nothing positive to be gained by me discussing the movie in any sort of capacity other than critically, as a presentation of film, beyond this post, and I expect all the elephants in the poo eckert thread to hold me to that.

How Stallone didn't win the best supporting actor is beyond me. More bias and agenda in Hollywood than AFL house, maybe even the Advertiser.

Idris Elba and Abraham Attah should have won best supporting and lead actor anyway. Beasts of No Nation got snubbed because it was a Netflix movie.

Sure. I pay about as much attention to the Oscars as I do the Brownlow.

Haven't seen it, but I'm a fan of Cary Fukunaga and Idris Elba. Will definitely watch.

It's great, I don't know why it didn't get more hype after Fukanagas success with TD.
