Yeah no. `Change for the sake of it' to you is `Hey a film with female leads that isn't about a romance this is a positive change' to other people.

Because it is hard to get the opportunity to do with the studio system.

Hard? but the likes of Tina Fey show it's more than possible, market forces are market forces.

Make something original.

Isn't every film a bloody romance though? Especially the original Ghostbusters.

Post Mean Girls, what has Fey done that isn't formula product?

`Market forces' is a bullshit reason, as the current status quo represents a bad equilibrium caused by established structures of race, gender, class privilege.

Don't talk to me about public toilets unless you've been trekking in Nepal.

Or ridden a train through rural Romania.

The Vanishing with Kiefer & Jeff Bridges wasn't a bad remake

I remember the uproar about an African American being the main protagonist in the new star wars.....turns out it was a female...

Talk about trollin

Go to India, the side of every street and road is a public toilet. Watch your step.

I remember walking through Jaipur one evening on our way to dinner at our driver's family restaurant, having to step over open cut sewers with people shitting in them a few metres from the outside tables.

Funnily enough, I had one of the best meals of my life that night.
