Sorry to hear that! Nothing too serious I hope. How long til you're out?

Was very close to being very serious but I'm recovering well and hopefully home very soon. I think I'm good to go now but I guess I have to leave that to the doctors to decide.

Get well soon fin, that FTA TV will kill you. Sounds like some kind of stokholm syndrome scenario where you believe Big Bang Theory is good tele or something.

Are they at least running repeats of Ready, Steady, Cook?

Ready Steady Cook was awesome.

An old bloke at the pub on the weekend used an expression I hadn't heard before and it made me laugh.

"it's as queer as a three dollar note"

He was referring to a horse.

I should add the same bloke was on a winning streak on Saturday and I said "got any tips?"

He said....

"I wouldn't have worn that shirt"

Old campaigner.

When asked for tips I usually respond with "Don't **** your best mates mum".

I learned the hard way.

Funny thing is her and I talk but old mate still has the shits.

Get over it Scotty.

Yes!!!!! 7Flix is showing Coming To America tomorrow night!
Few months ago that turned up on Netflix. Told the wife and kids how great a movie it was. 5 minutes in, boobs and F bombs galore.

Oops

I've been in hospital/rehab for the past 2 weeks following an accident. I am absolutely bored shitless and going out of my mind here. If it wasn't for free to air tv helping me pass the miserable time in here I don't know what I'd do or how I'd cope. Seriously, it's not all that bad.

Which hospital Finny?

I lived at the Royal Adelaide for like a month after my brothers big accident in 2011 and then again when my partner had surgery last year. Big difference in the services. The fuzzy CRT on a stick compared to the multimedia device with foxtel, FTA, and internet in 2015 was ridiculous.

Was at the RAH and that tv/internet thing was great. Now I'm in Hampstead, where they don't even supply tv's (you have to BYO) for some rehab prior to heading home. I still had 6 days worth of credit on that RAH Foxtel thingy when I left.

Hospitals...............

The wife had some kidney probs a couple of years ago and had a couple of days in the Repatriation Hospital i think it was. I was a shocking visitor, pacing up and down trying to pass time, but trying to be compassionate at the same time. Its full off sick people and angry, dumb doctors and nurses ( bless their cotton socks, they try their hardest )

I blew my shoulder apart after a motor bike accident a while back, and after my op they put in a room with really old mentally challenged guys that yelled all night. I had to piss in a bottle, all i wanted to do was get up and hold my wiener and piss in the toilet. I literally walked out the next day because i couldn't handle it. And relied on the Mrs to nurse me through. My Doc wasnt too happy so he put me on the mildest pain killers, panadeine forte didn't cut it. But it was bliss being out of that hospital.

All the best finny, i hope you heal up fast mate. If theres any sexy nurses in there, which i doubt, hope they make it quick for you.

I've decided I'm going to gin, bare it, and milk the public health system for all its worth. I really don't have much choice to be honest. This shit is expensive if you have to pay for it. One thing's for sure, I'm going to perform certain leisure activities with a little more caution from now on when I get well enough to do them again. Not wanting to end up in this place ever again is motivation enough.

Missus got to take home a full bottle of oxycoatin, and my brother was allowed to self administer morphine. Top work RAH.

All in all your health is most important. So just do what you have to, the rainbow at the end is you get to go home. I'm not a good one to talk about hospitals, i got in trouble for taking beers in there ( with the help of a mate ).

Glad you're still posting anyway, i'm cracking a Coopers Sparkling for ya :)

It wasn't a skateboarding accident. It was a bicycle crash at high speed.

Downhill or road? Sounds nasty if you've been in for that long.
