Any Wayward Pines fan here would be glad to know that season 2 premiers 25th of May.
How do you come back from those last 3 minutes? Ruined it all for me, but tbh, by the time the big twist was revealed it was far less intriuging.

I was wondering the same thing, they covered all three books in the first season.

This thread is essentially the JBC / Dylan8 hateathon. I really did enjoy the first half of Wayward Pines but the final twist was a kick in the guts.

I was having fun catching up in this thread, but it seems like everything happened after I left yesterday and I missed out. As usual

Because of the time zones it is prime time here.....never a dull moment

I quite like JimmyBeerCans.

Just finished the book. Not the greatest S. King fan but it was quite good. As soon as I can remember to download legitimately stream it, will watch.

Tell me without spoiling it Doctor Feel style, does he spend much time in Derry and does it have the same creepy underlying feeling that's done quite well in the book?

What have you read of his?

What have you read of his?
Some of his shorter stories mostly. Whatever ones turned up. Langoliers, Mist, Cujo. Tried the dark tower series and hated it.

Have yet to read It because I'm terrified of clowns and the video store had the movie when I was a kid and the cover sort of traumatised me.

Not interested, Oswald did it.

That's the premise, pal.

I liked the book except one part towards the end.

Have seen the first couple of episodes and will continue watching.

I know you asked this of SaintChris but...

I have read a ton of his books and enjoyed most of them.

Recently I read Dr Sleep which is a follow up on The Shining involving the young lad Dan Torrance.

Others I have really enjoyed are Needful Things, The Stand, The Dark Half and Insomnia. IT scared the living crap out of me for the first half of the book and then it went downhill after that.

Richard Bachman > Stephen King

The Long Walk is a great short story as is the original Running Man

The series doesn't follow the book to the letter with a few very noticeable differences (but won't post spoilers here).
Still very watchable but doesn't have the mood of the book.
Having said that I always tend to enjoy the books more anyway.

There are some very good downloads streams of the first 4 episodes available.

I still vote Stand By Me aka "The Body" from Different Seasons as the best film adapted from a King story.. I think he does too IIRC

As opposed to Maximum Overdrive which apart from the ACDC soundtrack was one of the worst movies ever.

The original mini-series of Salems Lot starring David Soul was excellent.
