So if I was going to get rid of Foxtel and add a streaming service, what is the best do we think? From a bit of a looksy it seems that Netflix is quite popular, and as I am with iinet it should be unmetered which is probably a bonus?

We have Netflix and Stan via Apple TV.

Gives us a good range of content and easy enough to setup. Portia is right about the navigation on Stan though, it's terrible and doesn't indicate what you've watched so you need to keep track of where you're at with series.

I use the Stan iPad app to keep track of my favourites and to search for things to watch. The added bonus is the kids can watch it on that when we're not at home. (grandparents, my work during school hols etc)

As far as the Samsung SmartTV apps go, Netflix works flawlessly, but Stan is slow, clunky, unresponsive and didn't support surround sound.

The web version works better, but still slower (for me at least) than Netflix.

Stan has some good content, I'd almost recommend getting both if I didn't find it so frustrating to use.

But if it's one or the other, Netflix all day, every day.

Good news. I have a Samsung STV so should work well. Will test out later and see how it all goes.

And to think people say Australia doesn't have an alcohol problem. This thread does atleast.

We should succeed from Australia and declare this thread the nation of hamish hartlett stalks elderly driver, begs for headware, where everything is permitted except for power pete memes.

Proof George Lucas can't get anymore campaignerish, first he creates Jar Jar then he goes out and reads the advertiser.

The King of the Neckbeards signifies his power with the absence of one.

Hey, at least Port made the front and back pages on the day he chooses to read it! Exposure, right? Let's hook up some sponsorship or something. Get on it KT and Kochie.
