Finally bit the bullet and got Foxtel after a hiatus of 3 seasons. Telstra can die a slow ******* burning death deep in the pits of a painful hell with their livepass fiasco. And because of the deliberate ingnoring me on your clownsupport Telstra, I am changing ISP's as soon as I do some reading on whirlpool.

TPG if you want cheap, Internode if you want based as **** service.

I'm an audio nerd. Never bought a cassette in my life...

Digital music is horrible if you're serious.

My sound system is amazing.

I love lamp.

Fun Fact: Steely Dan - Home At Last is a fantastic reference track.

When I got my first stereo circa 1980, the best sounding sound on it stereo wise(cassette) was T-Rex Hot Love

Fastway are the ******* worst. I've had two deliveries from them and both were slow and provided bad service.
Fastway bloke returned my goods back to depot when he decided he couldn't be ****** taking a detour to my house when there were roadworks going on.. it would have taken him like 3 minutes longer to get here.

iPrimus seem to have good deals, Internode have worse deals then Telstra. I have Telstra entertainment max bundle for around 130 a month, 500 gb plus basic foxtel on t box and phone. Want to lose the phone and just go skype or whatever. Internode have basic 300 gb for 108 a month or something, while iPrimus have unlimited internet and phone for 80 a month

Copper, NBN or Cable?

Copper, 'NBN coming to your area soon register your interest' though
Yeah, "soon" *cough cough*.
Optus seemed to have a good unltd deal for around $90 with entertainment but that is only if you're serviced by them.
Supposd you don't know if you're serviced by a RIM do you?

Africa is a great song not sure about the rest Edgie

What?

I'll Supple the Love with the Child's Anthem intro is awesome, so awesome Adam Sandler used it on a recent movie of his in the soundtrack, the one area of film making he hasn't lost it comepletely. Rosanna as stated earlier is a classic, and Til' the End, while not that great does have a certain novelty as the singer in that is the son of famous composer John Williams. I also thought about posting Hold the Line but probably too obvious.

In short, Toto are pretty cool. Not quite Cheap Trick cool but close.

Ok audio nerd, what's your take on the apparently revival of vinyl and all the dinosaurs claiming it gives better sound quality?

Vinyl definitely gives better sound quality because it isnt compressed like a cd or other digital files. It's music in its raw format. Of course if you have a shitty record player / amp / speakers etc it defeats the purpose. But there is nothing like kicking back after a few g&T's and putting a bit of Floyd on the turntable.

If vinyl isn't your thing, get yourself a good DAC and only stream flacs (or tidal).

Vinyl wins the battle every day hands down, but you can definitely make a digital file sound good too if you really want to. You just can't skimp on the gear.

Started replaying NFS:Underground since I found a way to make it run at 4k. Still as fun as I remember.

Older racing games have the best soundtracks.

LOL I was playing this on PS2 just the other day. I love the drifting mechanics of this game. My highest score for a single drift was 135k, without using the handbrake :P Beat that :D

Haha, friggin' hell. I reckon the highest I ever got was 103k, with a lot of handbrake abuse. :P

NFS Underground 2 was the greatest. But hands down the best game soundtracks are Tony Hawks games. 100% real shit.
Agree on both counts. I was going to put "a part from THPS games", but I felt that was a given.

Vinyl and CD / Lossless are objectively the same quality btw

Theoretically yeah, but like I said, depends on your gear. With a good cd player and DAC, then yeah hard to split hairs. Shitty gear on either front and they are world's apart.

But It's far cheaper to get a good turntable than to get a decent cd player and DAC

Don't know what a rim is, but I can tell you that everything is Telstra around here. Optus is in Cairns, but that's 200 km from here
