Looking at spending about 1 grand.
Found myself a technics turntable, what sort of speakers /amp best suits vinyl.Vinyl definitely gives better sound quality because it isnt compressed like a cd or other digital files. It's music in its raw format. Of course if you have a shitty record player / amp / speakers etc it defeats the purpose. But there is nothing like kicking back after a few g&T's and putting a bit of Floyd on the turntable.
If vinyl isn't your thing, get yourself a good DAC and only stream flacs (or tidal).
Vinyl wins the battle every day hands down, but you can definitely make a digital file sound good too if you really want to. You just can't skimp on the gear.
