You had me with Bill Burr, but lost me at 'That's My Boy' being a top 3 Sandler flick...

His top 3 are obviously his holy trinity of Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison and The Waterboy.

Then below them you've got The Wedding Singer, Big Daddy, Mr Deeds, Punch Drunk Love, Anger Management, Reign Over Me, Funny People and I don't even mind 50 First Dates. The rest though, just pure ass.

That's My Boy was an underrated return to form. If anything it suffered from its R-rating and related content. Sandler, for all his obvious decline, is the ****/loser with the heart of gold who turns it all around with humorous results.

In TMB it's wall-to-wall flog central with taboos ratcheted up to the maximum.

It's not Godfather II by any means, but for what it is I don't think it was the absolute stinker it's renowned as.

Bill Burr is like, one of the biggest comedians in America right now. If you have Netflix they have a bunch of his stand up shows on there.

Bill Burr's cartoon wasn't that great IMO but his podcast is funnier than anything that's on tv and he's obviously a brilliant stand-up.

I really liked F is for Family. Different gravy m8. Sam Rockwell was a delight.

You're right on the 80s soundtrack though, John Carpenter is a big influence of mine and I try to score music in the same vein. Also Miami Vice being my favourite TV show outside StarGate, it revolutionised the usage of music and songs in TV and mastered it, no show has ever come close to the way in integrated music since. Would you believe in the 3 completed things, I haven't used a single AC/DC song?

TMB was almost too much, an assault on the senses, but it was something of a step in the right direction with a real IDGAF attitude at times.
