Well yesterday was quite the campaigner.

And today is Monday the greatest pigs campaigner day of them all.

Could life get any worse?

Sitting in a work car with a crows supporter all day....

I really don't know any.

I've got one mate that I played footy with that gets in touch when they are up and about and some family on my wife's side that wouldn't know if Tex Walker played for the Crows or the Thunderbirds and that's about it. My whole family are Port Adelaide (except one brother who took a lot of hits to the head as a kid and subsequently follows Nordelaide Crowlegs) or know better than to speak to me about football.

There is a lady at work who says she likes the Crows and I said shame about the shit colours and she said "yeah it would be better if they got rid of the red and replaced it with green". I haven't spoken to her since.

I feel for you poor campaigners in SA.

I couldn't cope with the morons.

One for the AC/DC fans. Those innovative folks over at GWS have a 60 second countdown before bounce where they show their players onscreen and play a motivating track. If only we'd thought of that we wouldn't have been so humiliated. Im not an afficionado of the genre but it was definitely AC/DC and I *think* it was Hells Bells.

... I'd say at least a hundred birds come in from all directions of an afternoon .... they head across to I Dont Care's yard and proclaim "All your fruit tree belong to us" And, as they can tell when green fruit start to get sugar, before I can detect the colour change, they strip my trees bare of fruit .....
That's crazy isn't it? Our Jonathan apple tree goes from laden with apples just starting to ripen to neatly attached apple cores in a morning. My wife got agitated after the first time and the following year we tried that mesh netting but unless the trees are pruned into shape appropriately it's impossible. Lorikeets are pretty smart, the Powerstufffs aren't.

Has edgie woken up yet? Company Chairman Angus Young has appointed Axl Rose as the new spokesperson of AC/DC Corp.

He had a wee rant about it a few pages back.

Not a happy little countryboykaraokesinginacdclovinguy is our Edgie.

Old people at the back(yes Dingle, they are older than me) have been feeding birds in their backyard for years. Mostly these:

and some others, I'd say at least a hundred birds come in from all directions of an afternoon as they are fed a few handfuls of bird tucker. Then after the few dozen that were lucky enough to get a taste, have their appetite whetted, and those who missed out have their appetite aroused, they head across to I Dont Care's yard and proclaim "All your fruit tree belong to us" And, as they can tell when green fruit start to get sugar, before I can detect the colour change, they strip my trees bare of fruit. Lovely critters, but I wish death upon them

Not much you can do about the neighbours but mine and I have an agreement only to feed the parrots in winter. They still come and call for food but soon learn, and you don't get the big numbers in summer and now. The other thing I do is not prune the flowering natives that I know they like until right into winter.

It takes a bit of work but it's not hard to set up something like this:

Even if the tree grows through the top it doesn't matter too much, just harder to get off/prune back later.

On my property it's the rabbits and particularly wombats that really piss me off. One heavily treed section at the front is like swiss cheese, real ankle breaker territory, and I'm constantly checking that nothing has burrowed into the dam wall.

Into The Void live.... So good last night.

I heard the vocals let the show down. A mate of mine said it was like watching a Shreds video live.

EDIT: thanks finbarr

He's been like that the last 3 times I've seen him. Not surprising.

Iommi is the man.

Tony is such a master. He basically nailed everything and the tone was immense. I hope he continues with a project after the Sabbath tour is done and dusted.

Ozzy has always been average live but it didn't ruin the show at all.

The trouble is, my prize tree and the one whose fruit I cherish is a strawberry tree, or muntingia also known as a Panama cherry:

The fruit is insanely delicious and the fruit ripen within a day, so fruit fly don't even try. But it grows so fast that pruning and nets is out of the question. I planted ours in October 2014, when it was just a stick a foot high. It is now about 25 foot high, and 15 foot wide. Pruning it down just accelerates it's growth

Iommi always saves the day, Ozzy's vocals have only drastically gone down hill the last 10 years or so IMO pretty good considering his age etc. plenty have aged worse than Ozzy.

The aging process ain't kind to rock vocalists man.. A less shrill Burke Shelley seemed pretty cool live though

Budgie were a hoot both times but I wish Tony Bourge was there, every bit Iommi's equal for me.
