I actually have a big bin discretely tucked away that i chuck all my tins, cartons and so on that are 10 cents. I take it down to the scouts centre maybe once a year and pocket like 120 bucks. Good for the environment and good for my back pocket, who gives a ****.

I then use that 120 to go and buy more canned drink, lel.

We just put ours in the recycle bin. And pay 10 cents less for a can of coke

We help charities and organisations such as the scouts through providing them the cans which they then get money for from the government. It creates work for the young lads at the scouts centres and also generates some cash for some good organisations.

It's all relative.

Also keeps bin-scabs out of business.

lol my mum puts her bottles out the front in a open top bin so that a blind fella from down the road can come and grab them all, he's been doing it for a decade now. I like that sort of aspect of it.

Yeah on the whole I feel sorry for people like this, but several times some shithead has sifted through our bin and dropped/smashed glass jars in our driveway.

Yeah that happens too, so she places it close to the house so generally only this blind fellow who is familiar with the routine will come and grab them. I keep mine out the back hidden away so they aren't providing some sort of ugly ornament in the back yard and take em to the scouts when I get some time on a weekend (offseason lel)

A mate of mine loads up the empty carton with the empty bottles and puts it next to his bins on bin night. Mates it a lot easier, and no ones going through your bin either

That's the thing though, we take our cans/bottles to the recycling depot so there's never anything of value for anyone that might be looking through the bin.

Horrible day mate... Dude is a superstar.

That was ****en brilliant. Remember seeing it about 2 weeks after he did it at the 2004 HOF induction for George Harrison as a solo artist. The look on George's son's face shows how good it was as a tribute to the old man.

I've seen 4 great super bowl half time shows. Prince's in 2007 in the pouring rain singing Purple Rain was one of them.

I once had a campaigner, dressed in a nice shirt and all, wake us up rifling through our recycle bins before he went to work.

I choose not to live near poor people.

Problem is there are more celebrities these days.

The rise of the internet has meant that, as you pointed out above old ones don't/wont/can't go away, and the number of new "stars" in all realms (not just music) means that we are inundated with the ****ers.

Bowie and Prince in a relatively short period of time (and they were two of the biggest and best) is pretty big.
Another thing is that probably 4 artists - Bowie, Prince, Jackson and Madonna have transcended music into art, fashion, film etc since the 1970s and for so long like no other artists before them, or since and 2 of them have passed away around 100 days apart.

Prince is a huge gap in my musical knowledge. I am well aware of him, as a pop icon, of course; but I don't think I ever listened to a full album of his. It might be a good time to do so.
Same

I don't think I know any of his songs

1999
Little Red Corvette
Let's go crazy
Raspberry Beret
Cream
Purple Rain
When doves cry

You would have to be aware at least of the existence of these songs.

Unless you have been on another planet.

While at the funeral of her own mother, this girl met a guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing, so much her dream guy she believed him to be, that she fell in love with him there, but never asked for his number and could not find him ... A few days later, the girl killed her own sister.
Question: What is her motive in killing her sister?

She watched My Kitchen Rules.

The titles are familiar but on looking them up I still don't know them. I should but I don't.

For years her sister would not shut up about AC/DC and heavy metal bands but following the death of their mother she started playing Ween.

Had a hunched over, old bloke raiding mine and everyone else's bin in the neighbourhood where I used to live. I really didn't mind as I wasn't putting them aside to cash them in myself anyway and he looked a little worse for wear.

Then one day I saw him driving a car that was newer than mine to do his collections. **** me, I thought. Never left him anything again.
