I remember sitting in the backseat while great poppa Willian Torrens geared up in his driving uniform and great nana Jean in the passenger seat to take us for the half hour drive around the block to the star to get the order. I remember watching all the other cars on the road part like the red sea, oh no they would think, look out, Bill is out driving the purple car again they would say.

That vehicle has a priceless sentimental value... Ok I'd fork it over for a few million dollars maybe.

Then people get high with friends while the TV is on and the rest is history.

Before you spoil it with usb fitments and 20 year old's type bling...or even AC/DC stickers. What you see as your ideal entrance to a hipster bogan lifestyle, I see as an authentic Australian work of art

Why these movies piss me off, is because it is seriously difficult at an amateur level to make any sort of production in film. Seriously hard. Look around at how many amateur bands are out there, playing gigs, putting their stuff on the internet. It's ****ing easy as piss. Music doesn't even compare to movies. It is that difficult to create a film at this level for a hobby, and especially if you go to places that offer funding only to see the amount of rigmarole required. It is time consuming, expensive, physically draining, and you need to develop skills you probably won't ever be reimbursed for having (thankfully I've started to find work getting paid to film shit).

To see this shit being paid for, being released, making money for those involved, when I know that myself and people I do this with could do a better job for half of whatever it took to make these movies, better effects, better stunts, better cinematography acting and editing and other things that make cheap exploitation so great like violence and t***ies or even lol a dick, the entire package really, it's a kick in the guts, a brutal liver shot from a Dennis Silva spinning back kick, and a kick in the face too, Anderon Silva to Vitor Belfort style.

As I often do in this thread for opening myself up, I expect a few lols, memes, mockery, and people typing new words and phrases I don't understand, but **** it. This is me getting really a get. Now you know why it pisses me off.

Never going to happen. Total genuine restoration. Trust me, I respect classic Australian cars. An older mate had an XC Cobra he had to sell to pay medical expenses. He was heartbroken. I understand the value.

No music players, No A/C. No power steering. No stickers except the Smiths at Port Adelaide one that is still barely sticking.

Question, on the headlight covers I removed, they are genuine Holden made the unique twin headlight front of the Premier, when I was removing them, the holes they were screwed in to looked home made. Like they weren't their originally.

Is that how things worked back then? You brought an accessory and just had to go home and drill some holes in your car to use it?

Also my grand dad who passed last year founded the local vintage car club in the 50s. He was quite a prolific collector and restorer in his day before he went a bit crazy. It's in the blood.
