Great that they won, but I guarantee you that nobody will care in 10 years.

Maybe for the casual fans but it will live on in the memories of the die hard fans for the rest of their life.

AFL comes first for me that's why I was at the game last night, but man I wish I could have been there today.

Today showed I don't give a flying **** about A League (or at least United).

As for amazing day in SA sports history LOL.

True, but hardlya great day in SA history.

Great win for Adelaide United today. Some cracking goals too.

I know they aren't popular here due to Griffen et al, but they're the only local representation for football in SA. It's possible to follow the team but hate the board...in fact most of us have probably been there with Port.

That's a good result for SA, but let's not overstate it. The a-league is still super minnow despite the big crowd today. Like 40% were casual observers.

**** you pull stats out of your arse.

Almost half of a 50k crowd went for a casual look?

yeah... nah.

I find them remarkably easy to hate.

Like the scum from the karpark really.

So what are Uniteds average crowds over the years? What's their biggest ever crowd?

I know of many who went today wh have been to two or fewer A league matches. My Facebook feed is full of them.

What are our average crowds?

What have we got to Grand Finals at the G?

Apples and Oranges.

They pull an average of 12k to a 15k capacity hindmarsh. The number of people who are genuine fans is slight. Carn. If they had a better stadium though, no doubt their attendances would be much better.

In fact they are discussing this on the coverage now and the fact all these people came out of the woodwork.

Yea but... it's the A-League.

Just follow an EPL team or something.

But I have no connection at all to any EPL club. I enjoy the EPL, but don't really care about the outcome in the majority of games.

I have played with/against some of the young United players (in a casual indoor league - high stakes!), and have known of several others and watched their development to the A league and beyond. Don't get that with any other league.

No it isn't, the A LEAGUE GRAND FINAL is played as a home game, a very kettle of black pans.
I guess it can be compared to the games at AO.

Someone fill me in: what is the general standard of the A-League when compared to other leagues around the world in terms of skill and professionalism?

I find it amusing that people become so diehard over a club that was formed a little over a decade ago. Feels very Crowy to me.

The Wanderers would have brought a few, Adelaide Oval itself would have brought a few but to say 40% is a ridiculous guestamation.

And so because your facebox feed had a heap of shit on it 20k or more were casual observers?

And Boak is rooting everyones chick cos thats what face box says.

The A-League is the div 10 south of the amateur league of the football world.

To be fair it is improving year by year imo.

The only bad thing that you can't really change is that it's a feeder competition. All the good players that come out of the A-Leauge usually always end up in Europe or some bigger league.
