Was lucky enough to see Shihad at one of their first oz gigs about 25 years ago when they were supporting TMOC @ LeRox. Got talking to one of their guitarists before the gig who have me a cassette(?!?) of what was to become Churn which I still have now. Produced by Jaz Coleman of Killing Joke it was a brave first release when all around was DM & being brootal. Went a bit commercial when they changed to Pacifier but they're not a band to do what's expected of them. Respect.

Would love to see them in NZ

Promoter Garry Van Egmond announced today that two of New Zealand’s favourite bands, Shihad andVillainy, will perform at AC/DC’s Rock Or Bust concerts in Wellington and Auckland in December.

New Zealand audiences require no introduction to Shihad who have supported AC/DC twice before on home soil. The announcement caps off an exciting year for the band that includes being named as finalists in the 2015 NZ Music Awards for Album of the Year (FVEY), Best Group and Best Rock Album (FVEY). The awards will be held on 19 November.

Good music is good music whether it was recorded in 1920 or this morning, anyone who thinks otherwise is a ****brain :thumbsu:

Don't disagree but that term is something I've heard to describe everything from Neil Diamond to Linkin Park. It's a nothing.

I may as well say, gee, that music you listen to is a bit yaujit.

I just had a flashback to the 80's, in Brisbane and the first time I ever come come across one of those giant fruit bats. I had just been released from a week inside Boggo Road prison and walked back into the city as my mate was still in the city watch-house. It was getting late in the evening and the city was in full swing of getting ready for the Popes visit, and as I had no money, I thought I would camp in this park on a bench as I did back in those days. I was lying back trying to close my eyes(i was buggered from the walk into the city) when an image caught my gaze just flying over head. I screamed a full female scream, startling a young couple having a romantic walk along a path. "What the **** is that ******* thing?" I screamed "******* Dracula...it's ******* Dracula!" "It's just a fruit bat" the bloke said, "Haven't you ever seen one? Where you from?" "SA" I replied. "Oh" I reckon I've seen several thousand fruit bats in the 30 years since, but never one as big as that first bastard...scared the living shit out of me

AC/DC, Kiss, Black Sabbath, Zeppelin are all shitty dad rock, lets be real here.
Your children will ask you about Zeppelin, even DC.

Don't make stupid quotes about music just to go fishing.

I'll take the bait.
