Well they were already going down the expanded story arc franchise road that Marvel has been paving recently, so I guess they've decided to go one step further and take one of their actors.

I mean its pretty obvious why Sean Connery was the most loved Bond; its because he clearly was a chancer who had `no right' to be up there with the nobs and schemers and rich girls and so on. He was the embodiment of the lower classes getting one over on the man in as many ways as possible. He didn't go to ****ing Eton.

In all seriousness, I love Bond but don't see any point in getting caught up in the next actor hype. Aside from the delayed Pierce Brosnan appointment, has it ever been someone that press and public has speculated over?

I mean in the age of the internet and information, somebody will end up getting it right, but it will still be incredibly left field.
