I've posted here before JB singing Deep Purple's Lazy with Joe Bonamassa. He's enjoying himself & highlights how much he must do that he loathes to keep the Barnes industry rolling.
My best mate went out with one of his daughters for a few years & reckoned he isn't a bad bloke, just overwrought with hangers on.

Thing is, I think he's at the top of his game as a performer. As somebody who has only experienced vintage Cold Chisel on video, those performances basically consist of him in the early stages of a drunken stupor, hunched over and sort of vibrating like he's got Parkinson's, barely moving from the one spot, while the rest of the band has to work around him. There's intensity by there's no performance. Now he has more stage presence, actually being a frontman like Bon or Robert of old, and sometimes picking up a guitar and playing some rhythm.

He's a funny one ol' Barnsey, both overrated and underrated at the same time.

My Dad was actually best mates with Mossy and Jimmy. Was the sound tech for Chisel back in the old Largs Pier days.
Got photos of all of them at my Dad's 21st.

A funny story from that era - My Nan busted Bon Scott shagging another dudes chick in the back of a car at my Dad's place during a party.

Currently in HK. The internet speed at the hotel is around 120 Mbps! Only about 10X faster that what at get back in Adelaide with Internode...:'(

Just got around to watching the big short

really good film, thoroughly enjoyed it
Watched it on the plane yesterday. I really enjoyed it but left me a bit depressed.

The Coodabeens were waxing lyrical about what an absolute gentleman Barrie Robran is this morning. Laying it on really thick - almost to the point of parody. Well I might be biased, but I say our own Russell Ebert is every inch the gentleman that Barrie bloody Robran is - maybe more so!

The Coodabeens also interviewed this young lady:

Forget any w@nk fantasies you might have about Tayla though - she says she "loves Dustin Martin"

I think I'd like to 'protect' Ms Harris.

Great days to be an under age drinker... The pier was the place....The Bridgway was also pretty good at that time.
The live music choices we had...
Also it seemed every weekend someone had a party...

Haha... He's OK.

He and mum (RIP) took me to my first gig when I was 10, and you'll like this, AC/DC @ Globe Derby Park in 1988

Went to the 1981 memorial drive, Hells Bells. Could not hear properly for 24 hours afterwards. (next day) I was working on an office in Adelaide, at the time & could not here the phone ring. The Boss sent me home..

But the best I have seen them was with Bon Scott in the mid 70's.. It is good to have older sisters...About 75-76, something like that..At memorial drive, they were support for someone, a bit foggy.

Holy shit. Hadn't seen that.
Incomplete footage is such a tease.. Barnesy with a high end without the screech

*I hate seeing stills from heaps of Hendrix gigs and there's people with running cameras everywhere where is the ******* footage.. Yoko Ono &/or her entourage filmed an entire Syd/Floyd set @ the 24 hour technicolour dream.. Do something good Yoko ******* find it!!!
