Even the best coffee is just okay. It's about on the level of the best mandarin. And yet there's no endless, tedious cultural conversation about mandarins.

I have a small electric blanket wrapped around the fermenter which is on a timer set for 4 hours on at night but the bottle conditioning i just leave in cool dark place for a few weeks. Definitely not a professional setup, I am planning on building a insulated box and buying a cheap heatlamp.

The thing i hate is the inconsistency of brews, do the same shit everytime but have different results, some beers turn out really nice but some taste like the devils piss.
Don't worry about a heat lamp. I just put a normal light in the chest freezer and it heats up fine.

Temperature control is the most important thing to obtain consistency.

Look up stc-1000 temperature controller. Does hot and cold. Just need fridge or freezer.

Wait I read that wrong. The other way around. I could live without good coffee because good coffee isn't that good anyway.
I could never return to the days when that Moccona freeze-dried instant shit was considered the pinnacle hot beverage.

I am going to make an insulated box, i have a roll of insulation laying around and some scrap wood.

Looked up the stc-1000 controller, looks a little too advanced for me to set up. I think my issue is more bottle sterilisation than temperature control.

It was when my mum told me that Cassius Clay died I realised my mum is old. There's nothing wrong with that though. She still refers to Adelaide as the Camry Crows.

As someone who ridiculously spends too much on drive-thru McCafe coffees, this statement could not be further from the truth.

The gap between a well-made coffee and a poorly-made one is stark, before we get into things like beans, blends and general whathaveyee.

I'm happy to drink bad coffee as 90% of places make bad coffee anyway.

Dont get me wrong, I dont mind a bit of meat on pizza, but generally meatlovers is incredibly overrated. When im making at home ill generally have a chilli base (usually use gourmet garden hot chilli), roast capsicum, portobello mushroom, rehydrated porcini, red onion, cherry tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic, pine nuts (trust me, you'll never go back), baby capers, prosciutto, mozzarella then parmesan sprinkled on top. Delish.

The chilli base instead of tomato base is a must imo.
