I had a wireless mouse on the desktop that stopped working after 2 days, my mate reckons it rooted itself because the signal was reflecting off the glass doors of a cabinet in the room.. whatever!! I went back to wires.

F@%k this flu!

Fought a brave rearguard action all week and it looked like I'd staved off the worst of it.

But then I had to tempt fate last night by going to see a movie about a kid faking he's sick to wag school with his uber-hot girlfriend and uptight best mate.

And this morning I wake up sick as my brother's dog that time he ate the whole dope cake he sniffed outta the kitchen bin.

Go and get stuffed, Ferris.

Go. And. Get. Stuffed.

I have two Starbucks that are both less then 1 km from where I live. Plus an A & W burger franchise that will also brew up a coffee.

Then if I want to drive a bit further there's many Tim Horton's coffee and donut franchises to choose from. Plus there's Mackers all over the place. (I get my coffee from Mackers on the way to work). Canada is drenched in mediocre coffee.

If you wanted an Australian style flat white (a proper one made by a barista) I couldn't actually help you out.
Timbits are OK but the coffee is awful. Can't believe that people queue at a drive through for a cup of coffee that is not even up to instant coffee's very low standard. Tim Horton's may be huge in Canadia (sic) but it wouldn't stand a chance here.

Nan got back from Adelaide this morning, the surgery to remove her tumours was not a success. Not sure where to go to from here. Would probably be clearer if she wasn't the definition of vindictive and bitter old lady set on bringing others down to her level at times.

Should consider myself fortunate in a way, I've got 3 mates my age that have lost parents in the last month. Bright side of life and all that.

Coffee in the US is strange, it goes from over-percolated muck to supreme hipster gourmet with nothing in between. There are some excellent cafes in San Francisco that do a proper espresso with good crema but outside of these 'one-offs' I found it very hard to get a good coffee.

Japan is even worse. The best coffee I had in Sapporo came out of a can in a vending machine and tasted like warm condensed milk with coffee flavouring added.

The difference here is that even in Adelaide, you step into a basic coffee place and you'll get a reasonably good coffee.

European coffee is horrendous; if you need a job over there just walk into a café and tell them you're Australian, they'll fire their barista on the spot.

Hey, life moves pretty fast. If you don't stop to look around once in awhile, you might miss it.

The best in Japan was Starbucks....all you need to know!
Tried many of the smaller hipster places, but they burned it every time.

I was addicted to Starbucks' caramel macchiato for the brief period they were open at Colonnades, that was a fun english lesson at high school hyped up on sugar. :D
