Holy **** I just worked out that coldplay song.

It actually works if you substitute the word yellow for shit.

I can avoid most music if I don't want to hear it. I don't listen to the radio (cept golden oldies 2CH in the car sometimes) I don't watch music tv programmes unless there is a decent guest programmer on rage and most pubs I go to don't play the sort of shit I hate. I don't actually watch any current tv shows except footy stuff and sky racing which bizarrely plays quite good music. (AFL360 had "Leave them all behind" by Ride last night which was weird).

But that ****ing song. It was everywhere and it was ****ing horrible.

It scarred me.

It's more of a figure of speech though innit. Living the ''rock n roll lifestyle'' I wasn't referring to Metallica as a rock n roll band, hell, have a look who's in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame for starters.

I like St Anger, it at least has some feeling and direction behind it, unlike Death Magnetic which feels void and directionless to me, a band truly trying to recapture their glory thrash metal days.

I saw Ride live at The Old Lion in North Adelaide in 1992 when "Going Blank Again" was released.

Rock and roll is just raw bones music if you ask me.

Punk was rock and roll. all forms of music in their purest sense are rock and roll. It's rebellious and it's young. Don't get hung up on a genre man it's a feeling and a movement.

As long as it has guitar it's rocknroll.

St. Anger is unlistenable garbage although i did like the footage of them making it.. i mean group songwriting sessions sitting around in a circle with pad n' pens in the studio, hilarious.

The scene where they audition bassists is such a wreck. They show some footage of some guys plodding through some simple bass work, then show Rob shredding it up. If that wasn't creatively edited then I just don't even.
