A bit torn. One the one hand I love the fact we don't get into the "no opposition supporters" schoolyard stuff that seems rife on all other boards, but on the other I am sick to death of opening every single thread and reading about the other lot. They aren't special, they're just another team we need to get past to reach the top. I don't care how ****ing good Eddie Betts is - if I need confirmation I can go to their board (shudder).

If we banned opposition supporters there'd still be a much greater amount of Crows stuff then any other club. It's inevitable in a two team town. There are some supporters who are almost tin-foil hat on it and have to bring it into every thread and take it too far though. This board strikes the right balance between the preciousness of 'no opposition supporters' threads on other boards and mayhem (due to the mods).

I promised I'd move on three players before the end of the window then didn't. The got back in their boxes, thank dog.

I somehow lucked into some success in the game too. Won the UEFA Cup + FA Cup double but the latter was against a Tottenham team that had 40 shots to my 8 or so. Greeeeat times.

First time I ever heard of karaoke was in Michael Palin's Around The World In 80 Days which was probably screened in Australia in 1989 or 1990. I remember thinking "that will never catch on outside of Japan"

I wouldn't go as far to say it caught on, still an acquired hobby. When I can make finals to represent Australia in the karaoke world championships, you know it's a shallow pool.

Yes that is a real thing. I could've gone to Moscow... The year before Dublin.

I say caught on because they are everywhere now. It was only a couple of years later, probably 1992/3, that I came across my first ever karaoke machine in a Chinese restaurant in a small town in country NSW.
