Both should start. Vardy is an insatiable winner who won't stop scoring under any circumstances, despite having considerably less natural talent than a host of his peers.

He's basically Tom Brady with legspeed.
And without success spanning decades at the top level, but point taken.

Top song, but it always reminds me of Windows 95 due to the video being on the Win95 disc (to demonstrate the multimedia capabilities of the operating system.).
I only really started listening to them a couple of months ago and they're already my most played artist. First three albums are infinitely listenable.

Some of you may be aware of this, I don't know your ages.

When JJJ was first in Adelaide, well early days, around 1990 I'm gonna say, I recall Friday afternoons they'd play an album or side. Distinctly recall hearing the B side of Paranoid 1 Friday arvo. For me, by the late 90's JJJ had changed so much it was unrecognisable from the 'early' days. The only thing my radio gets used for now is footy & cricket.

Great song I dig Holly was just joking around.. Valens had more potential purely as a guitarist, some of those demo's & instrumentals really cool for the time, damn shame the world lost em' both so early.

I meant them both not fade away. The Day The Music Died wasn't far off the truth. There were a few musicians who were budding artists who died really young in that era. It is a shame

Everyone to ever play anything heavy owes it Tony. No Tony, no Randy.

Ya gotta compare peers

Randy or EVH?
Iommi or Blackmore?

EVH.
Iommi.

Have to remember though, 6 years in to his career Eddie ditched being a guitar virtuoso to play pop music on the synth.

Blackmore over Iommi
Ritchie introduce the classical licks and the faster speed favoured by metalheads. No Blackmore, no EVH or Rhodes.

EVH over Rhodes. Randy only got the two albums which probably hinders his influence. Does EVH get the most credit for popularising finger tapping?

Yea you are not wrong, Gene Vincent was lucky to survive the car crash that killed Eddie Cochran

Speaking of Gene the original guitarist from the Blue Caps Cliff Gallup was an amazing guitarist pretty much invented what Brian Setzer brought back & every bit as talented.

The fall of Triple J suspiciosly coincided with the rise of Powderfinger.
Yup.

Also with Triple J bands regularly winning ARIAs

Wasn't there some KFC comp that rewarded people with a free voucher if they voted for Taylor Swift in the Hottest 100? I'm pretty sure it was cut because there were commercial campaigns encouraging people to vote for it, not because it wasn't sahhhhhhh indie enough.

Yeah, this is the thing. The whole thing was being manipulated by non-listeners looking to disrupt the countdown. My daughter listens to Tay Tay and i dont hate it. Reality is though that her song was just a vehicle for some to ruin it for others and Triple J were left in an awkward position where they were damned if they do, damned if they dont.

Yep, plus John campaignerler trio, plus campaigner top campaigners and all the other Aussie hip hop campaigners...
I love TISMs reimagining of John Butler as a Wagga Wagga yobbo who is craving a steak but 'the manager' makes him 'eat the lentils'.. Was on a Triple R bit where they hosted for an hour. Terrific.

Probably was until KISS discoed Dynasty to the masses
How that wasn't the end of Kiss I have no idea. Although I suppose in many ways it was. Are they still recording? I mean I wouldn't be surprised if they were. I think the Kiss v punk thing was around the Dynasty time. Fair enough too. They were never great musos, just slightly heavy rock 'n rollers. Dynasty was an absolute sellout so perfect cannon fodder for the punks but just prior to that it would've been Kiss v disco.

Naw, it was later than that. When Powderfinger came into the frame, Paul McDermott, Mikey Robbins and the Sandman were still doing mornings and Merrick and Rosso were actually funny instead of trying to be funny in the afternoons.

I can point you to the exact album where it came crashing down. Jet - Get Born.

When Richard Kingsmill is pushing a band that is blatantly ripping off a whole bunch of other bands...you know it's time to go.
