Asked the Animal Justice Party guy whether he would've given me a how to vote card if I'd been eating my sausage sizzle. Guy in front of me laughed. Successful election day.

Went with my uncle to vote today. He's gay. Walking in, all the people surround us to hand us flyers, and he's like "I'm a **** who wants to marry", cue a parting of the seas by Liberal and CDP.

Oh shit, hope they don't think I was the bloke he wants to marry...

Good thing some bloke in reserves broke his leg in all of the places so footy was delayed so I wasn't late. Then there's a massive all in and a player gets reported for spitting blood. Fun.

Just got home from a past players day at a club that made the front page of the tiser this week for its drug culture. Spewing I didn't go dressed as Walter White when the media was taking happy snaps in the club rooms.

Big swing to independents. Hardly a swing to labor.

The LNP campaigned talking literally the same shit they promised but abjectly failed to do last election.

The only problem for the ALP was they seemed scared to call them on their shit, lest they get called on their previous shit.

And lo, the minors/indies are cashing in.

Comical.

Amazes me how many people don't know what electorate they're in.

Electoral Officer must've spent her whole day clarifying this for voters. Except her clarification lacked clarity. "Before or after the train line" determined whether you were in Wakefield or Port Adelaide.

But as one bloke pointed out, before or after depends on what side of the train line you live on. That completely rocked her world... confusion reigned. "Before or after the line in relation to the polling booth" would've been too painful, I guess.

F@%k, now I'm confused.

Lots of angry people in line, too. As I left the polling booth, they were getting ready to shut up shop. And the line was still pretty long.

F@%k not having their vote count: the possible $20 fine had them foaming at the mouth...

"Have you voted anywhere else today?" lel

Cracks me up every time I vote. In this day and age, we still rely on the honour system. How quaint.

Seriously, would the AEC be arsed to cross-reference the rolls at polling booths?

The lass beside me's name wasn't on the roll despite her being adamant she was and nothing had changed since the last election.

"Where [as in which seat] did you vote last time?"

- "At the school"

Fuwk.

This is a lot closer than I thought it would be. When WA come in don't be surprised if they're big ALP gains. The state Libs are on the nose. We could end up with a hung parliament.

Was thinking it would go the other way in Western Australia. If they go the way of Labor it won't be a hung parliament.
