Looks like postal votes are going to get the libs over the line. Many seats experiencing a distribution as high as 65-35 pro liberal for the postals. They are clawing back the deficits. Hindmarsh had Georganis ahead by over 400 on Tuesday. Now ahead by only 8. Will be overtaken when the next update is published.

The tide has turned though - it's back out to 10 votes!

Haha how close is it. Still like 15% to be counted and they are obviously favouring the libs. A matter of time imo.

Another day, another innocent African-American shot dead by police.

Didn't they believe that he had a gun? It would be interesting to know what they were arresting him for and what his prior history of offences were which have heightened the Police Officers personal safety concerns.

So what if he had a gun?

Doesn't every ****ing idiot over there have the right to do that?

His crime was being black. Let's not pretend it was anything else.

Here was the racial breakdown of all people killed by police in 2015 in America:

51.3% white
27.3% black
17.8% Hispanic
(38 people were other race)

And here were the racial breakdowns of police killings so far in 2016:

51.4% white
26.5% black
17.1% Hispanic
(23 people were other races)

I'm not so sure his crime was 'being Black" but the stupid gun culture of the US most surely played a part in his demise.

He wasn't being arrested. It was a routine traffic stop. He disclosed to the police officer that he was licensed to carry a concealed firearm and that that he was carrying. Hardly a reason to shoot someone four or five times in the chest at close range.

Sorry, I thought that you were talking about the Baton Rouge shooting (who was shot numerous times during street arrest) rather than the Minnesoto traffic stop where the fella was shot in the arm.

nice stats.

African Americans make up 13% of the population in the US while Caucasians make up 62%% of the population.

Sure do, that's why there should be more done to assist the Black population there who commit on average about 50% of the murders in America yearly, the system is badly broken over there and greater understanding as to why this is happening and a concerted effort to kerb it is required.

Easy to be confused when there are so many.
