Fancy us Australians judging Americans from the other side of the world.

Are we forgetting some of our recent leaders include a bloke elected on the back of a rhyming slogan, and a budgie smuggler that doesn't know what Canada is called?

Canadia?

Gawler to Adelaide 1986.... Incident free.

The old flour mill at Salisbury, represent!

Even caught a glimpse of the old Governor Mac, the old man's watering hole. Saw many blokes get punched out there. But I always got a free Coke, so yeah.

Hell, I can't even remember that underpass at Salisbury Interchange. Looked pretty shiny back then. Then again, it had only been up for a few months.

Shame they didn't catch our "school train."

Coz they could've seen Jimmy grab some straps and swing in-and-out of a Red Hen like a circus acrobat.

Or some random kid jump off the platform to grab his bag, which had been thrown onto the tracks as the train approached. And when they tried to get back up on the platform, his mates would push him back down onto the tracks in front of the incoming train, horn blaring.

Good times...

New study warns Russia could invade Poland ‘overnight’

First the Germans and now the ruskies... what is so god damned important about Poland.

Its Europe's Horsham

This Telstra ad can GAGF, bordering on "not what boats are built for" levels of pretentious flogosophy. It's not magic you f@#kwits, stop trying to make telecommunication "deep" and fix your outages!

I'd kill myself if I was in marketing. I guess it's not what I'm built for. :drunk:

Has anyone here flown with Tiger airways recently? I'm booking some
flights to Melbourne and am not sure to avoid them or not. All I know is I won't be using Jetstar again.

Since Virgin took them over they're good.
Flew them to the Collingwood game 2015 and no dramas at all.

Adelaide to Melbourne is reasonably safe with Tiger provided you don't actually need to in Melbourne on a specific day.

Flown Sydney-Adelaide and back three times with Tiger and have not had an issue. Only airline that has a 100% onetime record in my experience.

Avoid Jetstar at all costs.

I've flown Jetstar about four times. Twice they had delays of over an hour so I won't be going with them again.

That bad huh?
I'll admit neither myself or any of my family have had anything to do with them for a few years due to being royally screwed over on more than one occasion. Stephen cRowe may be a better judge of their current form.

Agree with others about Jetstar.

What year? Your bad experiences may have been pre-virgin

truebeliever87 Tiger and Jetstar now use the brand new T4 Terminal in Melbourne so no more tin shed with tiger

Tiger only ahead of Jetstar according to the Bureau of Infrastructure, Transport and Regional Economics (BITRE);

"Virgin Australia achieved the highest on time arrivals among the major domestic airlines at 85.4 per cent followed by Qantas at 84.8 per cent, Tigerair Australia at 80.0 per cent and Jetstar at 73.4 per cent."

My issues with the budget airlines have been due to cancellations. Due to their lack of any spare capacity once a scheduled aircraft is deemed unserviceable the dominoes start to fall resulting in cancelled flights. It has either been "come back tomorrow and try again" or "your flight has been cancelled, bad luck, read the small print".

"Virgin Australia had the highest percentage of cancellations (2.6 per cent) during the month, followed by QantasLink (2.5 per cent), Virgin Australia Regional Airlines (2.3 per cent), Jetstar (2.2 per cent), Tigerair Australia(2.1 per cent), Qantas (1.7 per cent) and Regional Express(1.5 per cent)."
