Partially agree. But we'd lose some sports that have been part of the Olympics since forever. Road cycling, soccer off the top of my head. FIFA is too strong an arm of the Olympic movement for soccer to ever be ditched. It should be a proper under-23 tournament with no over age ring ins allowed perhaps.
Golf shouldn't be there, tennis shouldn't be there. Some sports just have a "vibe" of whether or not they should be there and you can't base a ruling on a "vibe".
Vibe ruling I totally agree with. Soccer doesn't have that vibe. It just feels like this weird thing totally seperate from the standard club/international structure in World soccer.

Strong Olympics vibe to me is whatever was playable in Athens 2004 for the Playstation 2 so what would I know

I won a PS2 bundle with this game through one of those daily dial-in competitions that they hold during the Olympic coverage. Terrible game really, probably played it 3 times in total.

The prize also came with a $1000 voucher for Coles *cough* Liquorland *cough* so I was well chuffed with that though.

I would of thought that purpose of introducing sports into the Olympics is because many countries participate in the sport, which IMO should only be for the amateurs of the world. All sports have a place in the Olympics, just not the Pro's.
