Coopers is so overrated I guess it does benefit from the fact that West End, CUB etc. make some of the most disgusting swill on the planet.
Coopers (and I've said it here before) is one of the best mass produced beers in the world! South Aussies in general dismiss it due to familiarity (as they do Adelaide which is amazing). I always take some with me to share with friends and family and they bloody love it too! When I first got here and tasted it I fell in love, though to be fair I was a Guiness man before that.

Coopers Celebration Ale and Artisan reserve are tasty and nice beers

Pale Ale is fairly overrated and gives me the worst hangover of all time.

Can anyone explain to me why a carton of Coopers is top dollar, whilst some German and Belgian imports can cost the same, if not a little bit less?

Surely it can't cost that much to deliver from Regency Park to the bottle shops around Adelaide. Why are we getting slugged so hard for local product?

Coopers is available Australia wide now, when my brother was working in Queensland there was only one pub in Brisbane that had Coopers on tap and now all of them do, interestingly my brother did save a WA bottlo from throwing out thousands of dollars worth of Pale Ale, they thought it was past it's used by date and not realising it was a "best after" date, it's scary to think how much Pale Ale they chucked out before.

I absolutely love Pale Ale.

The price of beer/wine etc. has very little to do with production & freight costs and everything to do with where they want to price themselves in the market.
