Continued in Part 2

Freeman seems to have dropped his bundle, not even putting up much of an effort in the reserves by the looks of it.
He will be fine. Abit hard for key forwards to get heaps of the ball when its not visiting there forward 50. I would honestly like to see him ruck a full game. Get hands on the pill get some confidence back.

Stat from Champion Data - Out of all the teams in the competition, since 2014 we have played the most games against top 8 teams.... not sure how that is possible with the 6/6/6 fixture making system the AFL have:huh:

The fixture is one of the biggest flaws in equalisation and it has been since Vlad took over. It will never be fixed, because the VFL are too busy trying to make sure the northern states don't have any advantages and their Balance sheet is as bloated as possible.

I get as frustrated as the next person when we have losses like the one on the weekend. But this gives a bit of perspective. A young team is always going to be inconsistent, especially away from home. Hopefully we receive a more favourable draw when we're actually looking to push into the 8.

One random little fact I just noticed while scrolling through Rocky's history:

Our win against the Suns was our first win without Rockliff since round 10 2011.

Just sat down to watch Toy Story the original with my 2 and half year old (finally back to the normal life of being home in the arvos) and realised it came out in 1995 making it 21 years old.

It is a timeless classic. The first and the third in the series are close to my favourite kids movies of all time.

yep - showing it to your kids when you yourself watched it as a kid, nothing quite like it to make you feel old....

been through it twice, watched it with my kids and years later with my grand kids. agree great movies. milo and otis was great and the home alone series weren't too bad either to watch 20 years apart, the original was the best though, at least that's what i tell my younger brother. we loved the original willy wonka & the chocolate factory (1971) been through that one 3 times.

getting old beats the alternative.

Boycott Milo and Otis. Google and you'll see why.

Curiosity killed the cat for me. (Pardon the pun).

Didn't want to start a new thread for this, I think it is appropriate that it goes under the Random thread so hear it goes:

After attending the round 3 Geelong v Brisbane game this year it became apparent to me that Brisbane was no longer my number 1 team, this is something I have battled for numerous years, but especially the last 6 months when I decided to come back to AFL Membership land and with family and life commitments being a Brisbane Lions member was not an option.

Sadly after supporting the Lions for 28 Years, living 2 states away from the club's home, only attending 1 home game in my lifetime and TV deals since the mid 00's meaning I simply have not been able to watch the team play any more. Even with Foxtel I only get to watch 6 games properly at most a year. I am no longer feeling the association with the player I felt from 1988 until about 2006.

Since about 2005, living in Victoria has meant attending and following Geelong has become easier for me, and especially the last 2 years attending Geelong games has become a passion. In 2016 I have 17 games to choose from vs Brisbane's 7, of which I am already unable to attend at least 3 of them due to family comitments.

Sadly the above has finally taken a toll, and I have moved my club support from Brisbane to Geelong.

I will always love the club, will always be on here to add my opinion, but the time has come for me to follow where my heart has gone and change my profile club which I support.

I think Brisbane is going in the right direction, I know last night was bad, but Leppa is doing what he can with very limited resources, I hope the AFL start to realise that this club needs facilities and a more realistic allowance to spend on player retention, stop listening to Eddie and give the Lions what they deserve which is an even playing field.

Where the club was at is nothing to do with my decision, something I thought deep about was what if Brisbane comes up the ladder? but reality is its all about wanting to follow football in a pacific way. The Lions are not able to provide that to me any more being 1,800 km away.

I have been a Mod of this board, have made and hope to keep great friends and will hopefully continue to contribute to this board going forward. But its time for me to follow a local team. If life and family ever ends up moving to Queensland I will be back with Bells on. But sadly I am Victorian and want to be passionate about footy, changing to Geelong has allowed me to be that.

The Brisbane Lions are great, the posters on this board are great and I have made a very hard decision, but my passion about footy since making the call is something I have not had since about 2005, which tells me me this hard call is the right one for me.

I hope you all understand my decision, good luck and go Lions!!!!
