Dont expect to get anywhere the price you've paid for them.
Most have ended up on e-bay for a fraction of their original price and are still failing to attract bidders.

Do you know anything about Pineapple extract being used in antibiotics? I was reading an article on it the other day. Apparently, because of what the antibiotic targets it is impossible to build up a resistance. I see some companies are currently testing treatments for piglets with the possibility of human applications down the line.

The ABC article you are probably thinking about was way off the mark as much of this work has already been done. It is being commercialised by Anatara Life Sciences, which is based in Brisbane. The mechanism is via stopping bacterial attachment, which will as they say minimises the chances of resistance; however, never put anything past bacteria. As the active components are proteins, it is all about the ability to deliver right dose to area to the infection.

MSB ROYS i had a look and a bit of a read at a few links from your @msb_chem tip. i have read plenty on (including the health, fitness, training and nutrition board right here of BF) and i follow a moderate LCHF eating style and do intermittent fasting. i am interested in your personal views on these lifestyle choices.

i have been doing this for roughly 12 months combined with regular exercise and have taken myself off statins and blood pressure medication without my GPs knowledge. i have had 2 blood tests ordered by that same GP in the last 6 months and have my own blood pressure monitor and the BP and cholesterol levels are excellent.

hope that question isn't too random mods.

Sorry not in my area of expertise.

thought it would be of interest to see what some of the boys that were delisted or retired are doing in 2017. gee, every time you read what Clarkey is doing it is impressive, hope him and Jaden are going great health wise.

Sauce is working for the Broncos? First I've heard of that. Any more details? All I could find was a post on a Broncos forum saying "Daniel Merrett has been brought in by Bennett to improve player's catching and kicking skills."

Broncos to miss finals then. Odd choice since his greatest skill was his spoil

The things one finds out when just sitting around talking about nothing of note, with an elderly parent! Somehow the conversation got on to dirty, dusty cars, Mum then chuckled and said "did I ever tell you about the time......? No mum, do tell.

Well, apparently years ago, when driving back home from being with us in Melb, mum and dad stopped at a small town park area, mum spotted a very dusty car with a Hawks sticker on it....mum hates the Hawks.... so when dad took himself off to the loo, mum wandered over to the car and wrote a big LIONS in the dust!
When dad came out, mum told him what she did, dad went berko at her for doing such a thing and nagged her about it the rest of the way home.

Mum has always had a soft spot for us, and while horrified that my mother did that, I did have a chuckle too......Dad was probably annoyed she didn't write CATS:p

My son is about to turn 9 and we were discussing things AFL and Lions related stuff today and between us we made a few random observations:

* Since his birth in 2008 the Lions actually have a slight winning record at 68-1-129. They have actually made the finals (2009) even though he has no memory of this.
* My son's impression though is that the Lions are really bad. His first conscious memory of a Lions game is the 52 point come back game against Geelong (which sparked his love of AFL and the Lions but has also somewhat tainted it as nothing ever really lives up to that game). Anyway, since then the Lions are 20-56 and he has sat through every single one of those mostly depressing home game losses and a few of the away game ones too.
* There were likely plenty of Lions fans born that comeback day against Geelong. The whole stand above the goalposts where Ash McGrath kicked the winning goal was full of Auskicker families given free tickets to the game. We went and sat with our friends all not expecting much from the game. They and a couple of other families we know became members the following year.
* His 2nd favourite team is Hawthorn for the obvious reason that they've been winners all his life. I had much the same thing as a young follower of Carlton in the pre-Bears days. They were winners and basically the only team I ever saw on tv in the late 70's/early 80's. 2016 rocked his world a little with the Bulldogs winning the premiership. 2017 may do so more if teams like Hawthorn, Geelong and North Melbourne slip a bit and if the Lions can show some signs of a build.
*2014 -2016 he has seen just 7 wins out of the 33 home games a 3 away games he has attended.
* He's still keen on going to the games. To be honest the treats like chips and soft drink and chances to see to Lions players and get on the field and spend fun time with dad probably have heaps to do with it even though he does love his Lions and footy. My wife and daughter have had enough and want out. They want to become Firebirds members. The Firebirds are winners but as far as I can see are probably about to start a slide down the ladder after a couple of title winning years. Such is life.

how sweet, matching as well. not quite the final scene from shawshank redemption though.
My wife thought they'd both lost their surfboards.Bless.

This inspired me to have a look at my record and it was 341-7-447 (including finals but not night series) & I would have sat through the majority of them.
An average of 9.5-0.2-12.4 which was really helped along by 1999-2004

Was in A Mart Allsports yesterday and a group of kids came in and I heard them all say "Where's the Brisbane Heat stuff?" and away they all went. The BBL really has cracked the perfect formula especially with the kids.

Gotta say I am loving it myself and will be at the Gabba tonight.

I am liking it as well. Short season, all that goes with supporting a team and great access to players and insight during the game.

School holidays helps. Also goes to show the threat of Soccer becoming more prominent in Australia really isn't there.
